Well done Burnley for making a game of it. Plenty of chances at either end and worrying that we were allowing them so many good opportunities. No yellow cards and played in the right spirit so a big disappointment that Forster got injured. I'm not surprised that we got caught, for the first ten minutes we were playing it around at the back inviting them to close us down and only moving the ball on at the last moment. Mané was very good again. If only he could kick cleanly with his left foot he'd be outstanding. ?

He was caught awkwardly by Vokes, according to my daughter. We shall have to see MOTD later.

Most other teams don't have a petulant Irene as their backup.

This plus loads of injuries.

I think you're being hypercritical.

People accused of Sex crimes named or not?

It might be better if she didn't wake up. -

I was thinking hypothetically, but I suppose it might depend on how much milk you put in it and how much you stir it first. I have had people say 'I think that tea you gave me has given me a dodgy tummy'. -

Aren't the alleged victims allowed anonymity? -

But what if the woman (or man) said that he/she really wanted a cup of tea, was really up for having a cup of tea, drank said cup of tea with relish, thanked their host for the best cup of tea thay had ever drunk but then later complained that they didn't actually want the cup of tea in the first place? -

Which is precisely why the accused in these sex cases that we are discussing should remain anonymous until the verdict. There are plenty of people who take the view that there is no smoke without fire. -
In the UK, perhaps, but there are plenty of others if you're prepared to travel: http://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/list-total-solar.html

The BBC are full of incompetents. My daughter was watching the so-called live transmission from the Faeroes and just at the crtical moment they cut away to some woman on a plane.

There's a reason it hasn't been tried before. That's because it's such a stupid idea.

That's because the moon's gone away.

Not actually true. There never was a significant problem in the first place. I had a lot of dealings with this and the only problem I had was dealing with all the enquiries from people thinking that there was a problem. Another example of journalists creating panic about something they don't understand. There are enough bugs in operating systems anyway, some of them date-related and many still unresolved.

There is no way of knowing how many rapes go unpunished. If someone is found innocent of rape then a claim that someone has been raped must necessarily been false. -

Of course it's not wht I said, I even included a quote referring to rapes and anyway, the subject under discussion has been determined by the thread title and previous posts. This is not the point under discussion. The question is whether those accused should remain anonymous during the investigation.. -
I knew that one would be crap so we went over to northern France for the day and had a great view in clear skies in a field north of Amiens. The only downside to the day was that I rushed back for the evening game against leeds which we lost 3-0.

There's talk of Stephen Fry replacing Clarkson.

No, no and thrice no. It also encourages people to come forward and make false claims. -
You really shouldn't call her 'one knee'.

How many penalties should a team get per season?
Whitey Grandad replied to doddisalegend's topic in The Saints
You might expect that a better defence would allow the opposition fewer touches in their penalty area and therefore would concede fewer penalties. -
Yep, I was there ?
