I have been to Sønderborg many, many times in the 1990s and later. At first I learnt the numbers, then whether they were talking about me and eventually I could begin to understand some of what they were saying. My business partner John knew a few numbers but not all of them so if he wanted to buy 15 beers he would ask (in Danish) for '14 beers... and one more'. Sadly John is no longer with us.

Hej Gulle, By 'what sort of attendance' we normally mean the number of people who attend (spectate) at the games, so we talk about the 'average attendance' and so on, not 'what type of people attend the game'. Møjn

If you must have one then better to buy two. You can always cut and splice them into separate Saints and Vitesse scarves when you realise your mistake.

When I used to visit Sønderborg in South Jutland regularly we flew to Hamburg and got a lift or hired a car from there. It's a few hours up to the ground but if there are no other flights and a few of you to share then might be worth considering.

Meget godt! I have been to Denmark many times and it would be good to go there again. I see a road trip coming on with a few days taking the Mrs up the north at Skagen. It's a pity the Esbjerg ferry has stopped because it's a day's drive from the Hook of Holland. I have driven it from Chandlers Ford in one day a couple of times but I was younger then. What do we reckon are the chances of an away ticket?
