An interesting point on Radio 4 this morning. With all the targeted advertising and recommendations on social media websites and search engines those who hold a particular political viewpoint will tend to have that view reinforced by the targeted suggestions. This apparently was a factor in Scotland where those who supported one line did not on the whole receive the opposing arguments. This tends to polarise the whole political debate.

Top 4 chance now gone? Europa Thoughts?

On the other hand... If we win the Europa Cup... Let's be more positive! -
I watched them beat Norwich last night. Their time-wasting tactics near the end were indeed dis-graceful.

Just a thought... why should there be a studio audience at all?

That's why he shouldn't. It gives all the others credibility.

Yes, that's looking SSE. Goldsmith Avenue runs down from the top right by the red building and over the roundabout. Rodney Road runs in a similar alignment just off to the left. Fratton Way runs across the phot at the bottom. B&Q is just off picture right of bottom.

And the speed at which it took hold. It should be shown as a standard training exercise to show what can happen if the circumstances are right.

Did you earn any more after that? It's been messed about with for ages. I remember it being called family allowance and child allowance and now child benefit. At one time the money went to the husband and there were complaints that he would spend it on booze and fags so then they made it payable to the mother and eventuially it was absorbed into the tax system. It's only in recent years (recent to me) that we have seen the rise in unmarried mothers and single-parent families. It could be argued hat the welfare state has encouraged this. Further to my earlier questioning as to whether the state should encourage people to have children it occured to me that it might be a long-term plan to make sure that there are enough carers around to reduce the burden on the state caused by too many old people.

I'm with you on this. Oh, and sorry to spoil your day Pap, but you never stop paying for your kids. The only consolation is that are going to look after you in your old age. It's a matter of semantics perhaps, but we're not actually giving these people any money, we're just not taking quite as much in tax. They will still be paying nearly half of their extra earnings in tax and overall NI. There is a separate question as to whether we should be helping anybody to have kids at all.

Saints website getting politicised?
Whitey Grandad replied to SaintJackoInHurworth's topic in The Saints
Perhaps ad-blocker should advertise more. -
Or a direct consequence of opening more food banks? Was the demand created by the supply? There are people in desperate need but this does not apply to everyone who uses a food bank.
-
Done too. Is anybody thinking of going to their awards evening. Wearing a Saints strip would probably go down well

At my age I can't be choosy (Who is/was Myleene?)

A lot of assists but who is he going to assist?

Is there a prize?

Yes, of course, I suppose some people really are that twisted.

Indeed it would, it doesn't bear thinking about. The only thought I have is why start a fire when the ground is in use? Around that time I was at Dean Court when a fire started smouldering in a gap in the wooden flooring of the stand. Luckily it never got really going but it took some time to get it dealt with. Just after the Bradford tragedy I was sitting behind two silly schoolgirls in the upper East Stand at the Dell who were trying to have a crafty smoke. I found it sad that they hadn't even heard of the one at Bradford.

Nor should you (I have to declare and interest here) Hence some sort of incentive. I think everybody agrees, something needs to be done. There is an imbalance in the type of supply and the type of demand.
