  1. You forgot to mention the half-and-half scarves.
  2. Advice on how to do his job. She has been around for a long while and her experience is highly valued.
  3. Well, you were 23 at the time. What do you expect?
  4. This explains a lot
  5. I'm really a sad old git but somebody already has that user name. No, honestly, I'm kind, understanding, witty, the life and soul of the party, far too attractive for my own good and the world's greatest lover. I also have a tendency to over exaggerate. Seriously, if anybody would like a picture of me then they are welcome to send me a PM.
  6. Defenestrated
  7. Still to be confirmed, I think: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015%E2%80%9316_UEFA_Europa_League The tentative schedule of the competition, to be officially confirmed, is as follows (all draws held at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, unless stated otherwise).[5][14] Phase Round Draw date First leg Second leg Qualifying First qualifying round 22 June 2015 2 July 2015 9 July 2015 Second qualifying round 16 July 2015 23 July 2015 Third qualifying round 17 July 2015 30 July 2015 6 August 2015 Play-off Play-off round 7 August 2015 20 August 2015 27 August 2015 Group stage Matchday 1 28 August 2015 (Monaco) 17 September 2015 Matchday 2 1 October 2015 Matchday 3 22 October 2015 Matchday 4 5 November 2015 Matchday 5 26 November 2015 Matchday 6 10 December 2015 Knockout phase Round of 32 14 December 2015 18 February 2016 25 February 2016 Round of 16 10 March 2016 17 March 2016 Quarter-finals 18 March 2016 7 April 2016 14 April 2016 Semi-finals 15 April 2016 28 April 2016 5 May 2016 Final 18 May 2016 at St. Jakob-Park, Basel
  8. With a fluked goal like last night's you begin to wonder if the gods of football are on their side. Or perhaps they are just seting them up for a big humiliation. I'm beginning to change my attitude to Man Utd. I almost hope they thrash Liverscum just to make sure that they don't finish in the top four.
  9. You would still end up with the Diane Abbotts no matter how much we paid them. It is the nature of politics.
  10. They get a lot of money on top of their salary: http://rt.com/uk/187252-mps-claim-record-expenses/
  11. Paying lots of money doesn't guarantee that, far from it.
  12. And why is that relevant? We're not talking about a normal job market.
  13. I agree with you. As someone once said, our politicians are the best that money can buy.
  14. Aren't we all ? Good luck with your recovery. Every day is one more little victory.
  15. When I was watching it live I never at any time thought 'that's the keeper's ball'. Forster has to cover the whole of the goal area and I think you have underestimated the time it would have taken him to get to Costa and puch the ball clear. Of course, we don't know how the defence has been coached, it may be that Forster has been told to leave this type of cross to the central defenders. I think you're being very harsh on him. Edit: I've just watched the goal again and I can see what you are saying. I still don't think that Forster would have got there in time but what is most obvious is that Costa gets a completely free run from outside the area almost to the 6-yard line.
  16. I think your view of it has been foreshortened by the TV angle. It was not his job to cover Costa and if he'd come out to him then the ball may have gone to someone else. It was a freee header from an unchallenged cross. The whole defence was at fault.
  17. So what is the point of references like these? At the time they were written they were a fair description but I think most people (including me) were prepared to gve him a few games to see how he settled in.
  18. He would not have reached the cross and Costa would have headed into an empty net.
  19. I'm surprised that Forster gets mentioned for not coming to claim the cross to Costa yet nobody has criticised Davis for not tracking his man.
  20. Definite penalty, played the man before the ball. Sky analysed this challenge as well as Fonte's on Costa. On comparison they showed that Fonte played the ball first b&b to the Chelsea player caught Mané first. They also pointed out that Mané went down as part of the challenge but Costa went down just after, once he realised that he'd lost the ball.
  21. No need, there are plenty of applicants.
  22. Speaking of which, does anybody know when the TV games for May are chosen? I'm particularly concerned about the Villa game staying where it is.
  23. I can't complain about today's ref. Anyone who doesn't give a penalty to Chelsea gets a 10 from me
  24. I agree with you here. If we was p!ssed then it was very poor behaviour on the part of anybody wo was responsible for his hospitality.
