Not exactly true. The amount of money in circulation is increased as necessary but it gets very complicated. It is all controlled (supposedly) by The Bank of England and there are different types of money, M0, M1, M3 and so on.

There is a difference in accounting terms. A £10m player would go straight on the balance sheet with his value written down over the four years. It's a bit like the difference between buying a car outright or on a lease with no residual value.

I admire his honesty and his aspirations but his ideas about running the country are la-la.

£50bn is a hell of a lot and sounds like it's been plucked out of thin air. If it were anything like that much then the Treasury would be jumping on it. If they're illegal then they would be mopped up. If they're legal then how can they be 'unpaid taxes'? Or is he just saying that he would increase taxes by £50bn?

He's going to do all that without raising taxes? There's nowhere near enough tax evaded to pay for all that and even then what they're doing is not illegal. This has confirmed it for me, he is a loony lefty.
