  1. Toby seemed to underestimate it, but surely he would have been warned before the game?
  2. I can't disagree with any of that. It was a misjudgment made in a fraction of a second. At least it wasn't an error of ego.
  3. Indeed he did. It happened ight beneath me and you could see him hitting the ground in frustration. Good luck to him, wherever he goes.
  4. Close enough. He'll be back in the team soon enough
  5. According to the Mail, last night was the first time that we have ever started with a team of full internationals in our entire history.
  6. Does that mean 2-1?
  7. A lack of discipline: that is all.
  8. Final ball not good enough. It shows how far we've come when we're unhappy with an away draw at Villa.
  9. Very touching, Phil, almost reduced me to tears At least he now has a new club to support.
  10. That's true, but I go back further than most Blonde hair is nice though It was just an unscientific observation of mine but I have noticed a greater predominance of fair hair in Denmark, but that was more Juteland.
  11. He would continue to get his contracted rates. The only question is how much is paid by the two clubs.
  12. Me too, but I can't say that out loud.
  13. That's what men did, even through the 60s. I have family photoraphs of uncles and grandads lying in deckchairs on the beach and they were wearing suits.
  14. That's the problem with a non-moveable feast like Christmas. Make it a Sunday every year and it would make life a lot easier.
  15. It's not for you to comment on this. It's up to everyone to spend their time and money as they see fit.
  16. Sod top 4, I want the title:)
  17. Years of abuse can do that. My wrist will never be the same again
  18. Anglo-Saxons were more eastern areas, I thought. This region was more Celtic tribes. When I first moved here in 1971 I noticed that there seemed to be more dark-haired short people around than there were in Essex. I had been used to tall blond specimens.
  19. Well that was rather pleasant
  20. I remember seeing that too. My wonderful wife (girlfriend at the time) was sensible enough to sit through it with me. The first football on TV in colour that I remember was the 1970 World Cup. (For those youngsters amongst us, colour TV can in with BBC2 and the 625 line UHF system) And yes, I agree totally that ITV are crap at football. That famous missed goal should have been enough to ban them from ever getting anywhere near it ever again.
  21. How did they do that, a tap on the knee?
  22. ??? Colour TV was much later, or am I missing something?
  23. You're right. I don't give a fúck.
  24. Correct, it's to do with the timing of the tides around Britain and the Cherbourg peninsula and things.
