You've obviously never tried it. Anyone under 12 will be running around screaming with their arms in the air, it's what children do in a big open space. Others will be calmly enjoying the situation and quietly taking in how the stadium looks from a totally different viewpoint. And of course it's something that's illegal for the rest of the year.

It wouldn't embarrass me, but I'm not a precious over-sensitive wilting wallflower with an inferiority complex. It's the end of a reasonably good season and an opportunity to close it off with a show of enthusiasm for the players and our wonderful owner.

I shall be voting of course, but it's not the same since they stopped you voting for a particular person.

Does it? What do you suggest should be done about the Nigerians?

To be honest mine didn't hurt at all, the only problem I had was a small infection where the surgeon had left an offcut of tube inside. If anything the whole area was a lot less sensitive afterwards and getting kicked in the naughties has never been a problem since. It's your choice of course, both of you. My son had three kids and was managing ok until she fell for a fourth. She's a lovely little girl but four is a big handful and I think it stressed his wife so much that they ended up getting divorced. My daughter had two kids, one of each, and then got pregnant with another who's a lovely lad but it has completely upended her life. I know someone who had three kids and when his mrs got pregnant again they took the difficult decision to abort. The modern world doesn't seem to be designed for large families.

I remember the first time I came across a CD. It was 1982 and I had designed the satellite encoder for an uplink in Atlanta and we needed some audio for the demos. The only album we had was an ELO one which must have been 'Discovery' because I just left the one track 'Confusion' on continuous repeat, which I felt was appropriate for the situation. My business partner was on the EBU committee for setting audio standards in the late 1970s and CDs were included in his brief. I remember him saying that they had to get the discs small enough to fit into the DIN standard aperture for car radios before they could be commercially viable. He saw Sony demonstrate a CD with a 1/4 inch hole drilled in it that played flawlessly because the error correction was so good. In the event the production companies just used the resilience of the system to enable them to make poor quality products knowing that the error correction would compensate.

I've still got my Pioneer PL112D with an Ortofon FF15E but I'm not allowed to play it very often unless She's out. We still have all our vinyls that we bought in the 1960s and it's a totally different experience from modern MP3s. I have a few classical LPs including the complete DGG Ring cycle but it really ****es you off having to get up every 20 minutes to change the disc so I treated myself to a CD set a couple of years ago.

You'll grow to like it -
That reminds me of the football chairman who had built his business from scratch after several spells in prison. The prison chaplain had suggested that he should run his own company and when he had answered that he wouldn't be any good at it was told 'Well, you're no good at robbery are you?'
-
Does that prove that prison doesn't work?

Is that what they call it these days?

Good point. I was over 40 for mine.

Agents don't make any serious money unless they're continually arranging transfers for their clients. A few image rights here and there aren't in the same league as the commission on a £30m transfer.
-
I think they would have to hand in a formal transfer request in order to lose their cut. Sometimes players do that and it effectively gets paid by the purchaser.
-
I had one years ago. Everything hangs a little differently afterwards but apart from that no problems at all.

So many players leaving! Is anybody going to join us and if not, why not?

And the next 12 lives too.

I won't let the Mail upset me. According to The Times De Boer has also indicated his availability.

Two of my grandchildren are collecting them. They started in Bristol and now live near me and the packs are definitely different.
-
They've tried most of the others, they're just working their way through the list.

What is it with you youngsters who want to keep changing everything all the time just to keep it 'up to date'? -
What about fan of the season?
