  1. If we replaced all the oil that we use with fracked hydrocarbons the atmospheric CO2 would soon fall back to much lower levels.
  2. Do you have a picture of her?
  3. Agreed
  4. That's good to hear. If he's in Southampton General then I know from my own experience that he's in very good hands. We all wish him well.
  5. Seems pointless building a road bridge the, doesn't it? If the idea was to link the two communities, reduce congestion at Northam and bring economic benefits to Woolston then having a toll negates that. I am as certain as I can be that when it was built we were told that the tolls were only temporary until the bridge was paid for.
  6. Isn't tracking better than burning coal?
  7. It infers to me that it wasn't of Pochettino's doing.
  8. My brother grew another foot but he doesn't use it as a rule.
  9. Not offside under the current interpretations.
  10. Did anyone else notice Ridgewell getting all precious when a ballboy rolled the ball towards him instead of giving it to him nicely? He even tried to complain to Webb, who would gave nothing to do with it.
  11. Yep, it's younger than me
  12. Yeah, Sterling's looking at the ref before he even hits the ground. Very poor decision.
  13. We shall never know, of course. Hart doesn't make anything of it at the time. The guidance from FIFA is: “interfering with an opponent” means preventing an opponent from playing or being able to play the ball by clearly obstructing the opponent’s line of vision or movements or making a gesture or movement which, in the opinion of the referee, deceives or distracts an opponent. It must have been the referee's decision although why we needed to go to his assistant I don't know.
  14. I've met a lot of highly intelligent people who were extremely gullible. You could talk them into anything
  15. Gouffran got out of the way of the ball. If it had struck him then I would agree with you. In what way did his movement help the ball end up in the net? Hart wasn't distracted and had no chance of getting to the ball.
  16. Worth a letter from Newcastle, surely?
  17. Gouffran did neither, quite the opposite. To whom was Halsey referring?
  18. Not at all, not impeding an opponent nor gaining an advantage. According to the modern version of the law the goal should have stood.
  19. No, but intelligence is, together with the ability to use it wisely.
  20. He was right up there alongside J-Rod and was in a better position to have a shot across goal, but you can't blame J-Rod for trying himself.
  21. Of course he meant it, it was obvious from where I was sitting. But if you think he's rubbish then you wouldn't give him credit for anything.
  22. As I remember it wasn't it the assistant who flagged for the foul by Shaw? Webb then made a big thing out of it by running all the way across for a talking-to.
  23. Thought he was ok. I felt he started to lose control a bit around the two-thirds mark but we've certainly had a lot worse. A couple more yellows for WBA might have been fairer.
