  1. There's a big difference between 'could' and 'will'. We are where we are on merit.
  2. Nice read, thanks.
  3. There's a bit more to it than that, to be fair, position of the arm, motion towards the ball etc. He did actually deflect the ball away from goal but I agree, it was a bit harsh.
  4. I thought so at first but it did actually hit Routledge (?)on the arm.
  5. Last home game of the season will be a title decider
  6. Don't forget the half-time entertainment.
  7. The other way round, I would have thought.
  8. Very nice. Out of interest, who is the subject of the next photo?
  9. We were upper East Stand centre. Best view of the game anywhere in the world. Sad to leave but we couldn't stay there.
  10. Special mention for Steven Davis. Perfect first touch to set up the ball and then bury it in the bottom corner.
  11. he will learn and improve.
  12. Indeed. The only problem is that we shall all be expecting a goal like that in every game from now on.
  13. For some reason I never used to like him but... Respect
  14. Ruthlessly efficient. It was like a roman legion meeting the barbarians, we just trampled them down and chopped them into little pieces.
  15. An England call-up helps.
  16. We both know that's not true.
  17. I wonder how many times this sort of thing happened during the Second World War?
  18. I have been feeling this way for the last three or four years. Maybe after a few seasons in the Champions League I can start to relax a little.
  19. I'm sure that others will correct me if I'm wrong, but the Geneva Convention doesn't apply in this scenario?
  20. Quite so. We have been to the Flanders area a few times and it never fails to fill me with tears. My Grandad's brother was killed near Oppy, north of Arras, and is still lying in a field somewhere. For many years my dad had a letter from him written just a few days before he was killed. Eventually we were able to hand it to his son, who was only one year old when he lost his dad and had no personal mementos of him, not even a photograph. I will post the full story when the time is right. Bless 'em all.
  21. I think we shall miss him
  22. Everything was black and white before Sergeant Pepper It's amazing what a difference a touch of colour makes.
  23. It would be good to see all three play together. We might even string a few passes together.
  24. Thanks, remarkable photos. When I was young you could buy a box of special watercolours for using on black and white photographs to make them look like coloured ones.
