  1. But then they would have been called Tearsy or Hearsy.
  2. Alexander Dumas, pére et fils. The Count of Monte Cristo, The Three Musketeers, and much more.
  3. Thanks, that's better.
  4. Worth a try, surely?
  5. Au contraire, mon ami. I was saying that the Dumas father and son were great literary proponents.
  6. It should be 'dumbass', unless you are talking about the great French writers.
  7. Both the Mail and The Times gave him a 9 and man of the match.
  8. Well there's a surprise
  9. Ah, you youngsters it explains it here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-18233844
  10. What does everybody see in James Milner?
  11. It's a fine decision to be made. Reduce prices and encourage larger crowds or maintain a higher price and keep you profit margins up. Other considerations such as pleasing the fans or creating a good atmosphere that might help to propel the team into the next round are secondary these days. I'm afraid this is a business, not a club.
  12. In Germany BMWs are butchers' cars. Men of importance drive Mercedes.
  13. Have faith, people, have faith. In Rickie we trust
  14. The players are paid out of the main annual income, probably the TV monies alone would more than cover them. What we are considering here is incremental income which is over and above the fixed overheads. So, for example, extra costs for policing, lighting are incurred but Council Tax is already accounted for.
  15. Not even Bearsy could do three nurses in one day.
  16. You've forgotten VAT. You can't include players' wages because they'd get those even if they didn't play, unless there is appearance money.
  17. Please, can you give us a template that we can all use?
  18. Correct. Itchen and a couple of blocks in Chapel and Northam only. I had to buy a seat directly opposite mine. If Cortese sneezes I shall get wet.
  19. Yes, SO14 0PB just along from the King Alfred. The shop was there at the end of last season just down from the top of St Mary's Road. I took an interest because my daughter has some boxes full of programmes from the 1970s, most of them signed. They are still at our house even though she moved out 15 years ago.
  20. I'm with Saintrichmond on this. I went to buy a ticket yesterday and was faced with this bombshell. I chose my seat in the Kingsland with great care and now I shall be sitting opposite staring at an empty stand. I don't really care about going now. Somebody doesn't know what they are doing.
  21. Isn't there a shop that sells them in Northampton Road? Along from the Cobwebs shop.
  22. Yeah, that'll help won't it
  23. Great goal, sign him up! (Berahino for England)
  24. Do you mind! I'm having my dinner. This might ruin my pudding.
  25. Yes, it's imprecise. In such circumstances I would always put extra brackets just to be sure.
