A lovely man, always willing to hang around and talk to you. I remember his last game at White Hart Lane after we had been beaten something like 3-0. As he left the pitch he had a last wistful look around the stadium. Sometimes life's just not fair.

I would be inclined to wait until the season is over before we decide how successful it has been. At the very least, a few places difference amounts to quit a bit of prize money.
If that did happen then the goal difference could be uncomfortably close. At the moment we are +13 better than Wigan. Lose all 3 games 3-0 (like Saturday) and it won't be just my bum that's squeaking.
I agree that we are almost certainly safe, but I would imagine that some scenarios would have us going into the last game needing at least a point, and I would be feeling a little uneasy with that.
He may have been playing advantage but he didn't signal or call to show that he was. In these situations it is wise for the referee to let both players know that he is watching the situation closely.
