  1. I agree with those and there is maybe one or two others but all 3 of them will be back in the Prem next season and none of Schneiderlin's standard could be enticed to nPL1.
  2. Apparently the league table never lies!
  3. Don't agree with this. In professional football the result is never irrelevant. Not to the fans, not to the players, not to the management and not to the ownership. Even in the midst of mid-table obscurity, wins are important, as is a winning mentality. Question: Is there prize money per position, like there is in the EPL (albeit on a much smaller scale)? If so, even more of a reason to win every game.
  4. Maybe so but it looks like the national press are starting to sit up and notice what is going on down here.
  5. After the extent of financial regularities have been uncovered, I wouldn't be surprised if the EPL fined PCFC ALL of the TV money and parachute payments due to them.
  6. Lloyd is famous for being on "Secret Millionaire", right? Got me thinking on how P*mpey could raise some serious money. Set up their own TV production company and produce a series called "Skintest Millionaire". They already have a full cast for the first series, lined up.
  7. I remember the Running Horse, in it's latter days had a Scouser as landlord. Used to pop in for one on the way through to the Centre Inn and Barbarellas, behind it. There was also a bar in the concrete castle turret (monstrosity) next door. Cant remember what that was called though!
  8. I always watch it on Sunday morning via the red button.
  9. Whatever his reasoning, it doesn't mean we shouldn't be grateful that he saved the club because I didn't see too many options queueing up if he hadn't. I'm not only thankful that he took over but also for re-igniting my passion for the club after a miserable 3 years.
  10. 15 will equal it. Although RL is on 30 for the season, only 29 are Saints goals. He needs 16 from 11 games (or 14 if we do make the playoffs and get to Wembley for a second time).
  11. Depends if and when the management give up on the play-offs (they may privately, already have but still going for them publicly). Could be good to give Sam Argent a run in the team to see if he's ready. I suspect we'll neither get a loan nor give a youngster a run. I think James will revert to being our RB until Otsemebor is ready to return.
  12. TBF their average attendance (10,200 ish) is 6th highest in the division, ahead of the likes of much more established fan-bases like Millwall, Swindon and Bristol Rovers.
  13. Or "44,000 fans! How can we compete with the 'Best Fans in the World' TM (all 15,000 of them)?"
  14. The Premier League are welcome to him, so long as we don't get him again. Hopefully when we return in 2 or 3 years time, he will have retired (or been retired).
  15. I've just edited it for you!
  16. Good win for Hull, although pretty scruffy at times, partly due to the conditions (persisting down) and lack of balance on the right centre/wing combinations after Calderwood went off injured. Pity Rovers won at the same time though! Leeds will come good though (probably in time to knock Hull out of the Challenge Cup. )
  17. We are also paying the PAYE, NI on those wages and not syphoning £xMillion into off shore 'image rights' accounts and we paid the VAT on the transfer. Apart from that, exactly the same as the Skates.
  18. You going somewhere? Oh yes, I forgot. Out of existence!
  19. They haven't been able to live with us in the three games we've played already this season and 2 of them was with JP playing for them. Why do you think they'll all of a sudden be any more successful with JP playing for us.
  20. If they sell their allocation!
  21. TBF Grant had the wool pulled over his eyes by Storrie and his cronies, just like Chanrai, the Android and most of the footballing and sports media industry it seems. It's only us looking from outside the goldfish bowl that could see what was really going on but then again, we were just scummers on a wind-up!
  22. Pretty much agree with all of that.
  23. Cashflow, I would have thought. AA isn't going to expose his company to making a loss on the venture, therefore if the money runs out, then he'll pull the plug (hence trying to do anything to get his hands on next season's parachute money).
  24. The hotel groups are appealing to Judge's ruling. Scared of competition, comes to mind. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/5067922.Rose_Bowl_ruling_appeal_put_forward/
  25. No thanks. I'm a fair weather watcher of highlights (watch when we're winning)!
