Have to say there were several times when he was flagged off-side first half when he was on. Several other times when he was actually flagged, he was holding his run and position, only for the through ball to be delayed and therefore catching him off (not his thought). I would say his quickness of mind (playing at a higher level) is greater than that of many around him. For the 'goal' it was marginal but that linesman was never ever going to give the benefit of doubt to the attacking team.

"Tell me Ma, me Ma. To put the champagne on ice! We're going to Wembley twice. Tell me Ma, me Ma!!"

Agreed. Whenever he comes up against anything that could be described as a 'nippy' player, he seems to tread water.

Saw him earlier this season outside the Kingsland. Probably does a lot of his filming at weekends and goes when he's home.

Lol! I do like that!!

I think to be fair, we do play long-ball at times but we do have the players to get it down and play and do mix it up. They certainly couldn't say our equalizer was long-ball. That was a splendid team goal of how many passes?

I said to my brother, that watching this Saints' team reminds me of the Strachan team. Closing down, harrying and pressing the opposition into rushed mistakes and giving the ball away. The team are obviously much fitter, stronger and have a lot more stamina than in the last 4 or 5 seasons.

Is it just me but I thought Milton Keynes were garbage, especially first half. How we went in 0-1 is beyond me, they offered no threat what-so-ever and seemed to be wasting time from the first whistle. Their keeper was comedy value though if nothing else. They improved a bit in the second half when they brought the big centre forward on, at least he gave Trotman and Jaidi something to do. All in all a decent if not spectacular performance, everyone gave a 7 out of 10 performance but the subs Antonio and Connolly, made the difference in the end.

Will be even worse tomorrow because due to the postal strike, they haven't been posting out tickets, so many more collections than normal.

It would be if they got the ref correct but from our OS: *Due to an injury, the referee for this fixture has changed from Jarnail Singh to Mick Russell

League 2 or BSq Premier I would have thought. Aldershot seems a good choice because it's local to Olly.

Or David Beckham?

SO'L broke his thumb in last week's warm up game against the Welsh. Pretty young team, Briscoe, Myler and Eastmond all teenagers. Should have enough to comfortably beat the French. The Aussies and Kiwis are a completely different kettle of fish!

Posted on the Them or Us thread in Gen Sport! PFC Statement Portsmouth FC owner Ali Al Faraj would like to assure fans that quotes attributed to him in a Saudi Arabian newspaper and subsequently published in some of today's tabloid press, are completely false and untrue. Mr Al Faraj has not given any interviews to any form of the media and legal proceedings will now begin against the publications that published the alleged quotes and interview. The club believes this is the work of a third party who will also face legal action. The same Saudi Arabian newspaper last week published a story on Portsmouth FC quoting Sulaiman al Fahim and the content was subsequently retracted.

This, plus the recent upturn in form, the memories Brisbane Rd hold for the older supporters, plus Barry Hearn's arrogant, misinformed comments made about us 'cheating' at the beginning of the season, plus the more people going makes even more people want to go. Oh and for many it is a new ground to go to. I think that just about covers it. Any more?

Watched the Newcastle (Bally's first) match on beam-back at Hulse Rd Social Club. Went to the Luton match, tried everything to get in but never managed it. Had to listen to the game on the radio, outside the ground.

Apparently came from a Saudi newspaper but P*mpey are denying it saying that the quotes are untrue and there has been no interview. They are now taking legal action against the Saudi newspaper.

Very sad to hear this news. Condolences to Ron and his family!

Football League Interactive. Got a feeling it used to be Premier TV? Still a bag of sh!te though!! :smt076

One or two but most of them are either disagreeing or taking the P!ss out of those.

No. We have stolen theirs and pretty much every other Football League clubs and some Premier League ones too. It is sh!t and I for one hope that as soon as the current contract has expired, we revert to something more user friendly, accurate, regularly updated, with better journalism. The Sky template went downhill after Graham Hiley left but was much much better that this pile of cr@p!

Not exactly far either. About the same as Southampton and Brighton.
