Did they win the family club because they're all the same family? All 12,000 of them??
-
Dare I say, playoff final?
-

Or Japan in front of our new Japanese fan club!! -
I thought when he moved to the tip of the diamond and then as second striker he was okay. When he was wide right he was absolutely pants and one of the main reasons we started so poorly. IMO there is no way in a 442 should he start ahead of Cork or naturally wide players like De Ridder in that position.

TBF That's exactly how I saw it. Thought we were very nervous in the first half hour. Looked like watching the Pootvliet team on their way to relegation. Adkins changed it round with the diamond which allowed us to gain control of midfield (although lack width at time) Guly managed to get into the game, we scored and then completely dominated. Fox MoM for me. Thought he was outstanding, even when the rest of the team were not clicking.

I'm hoping a foreign channel has got it so that It'll be shown in Aus.

I think having strong players around him have helped. Earlier in his Saints' career he was being criticised for not doing the things expected of an 'English' midfielder in a relegation battle. He has developed his game a bit but is essentially the same player (albeit older, stronger and more experienced) but has much better players around him and a squad that allows him to be rested every now and again, to keep him fresh.

West ham would have won the league weeks ago....

This!! And to think his name was always linked in the old (annual) "who should be our next manager?" threads. -
48 now living in East Yorkshire, north of Hull - First match was a 4-1 victory v Nottm Forest, approx 1971. Stood on the Archers and managed to see the square root of bugger all! First away game 1-0 victory at Nottarf Krap in 1976; Channon approx 88 min. Second away game was a few weeks later, some insignificant game at Wembley Stadium.

Is that a representation of a sad Skate being swallowed up by a Leibherr?
-
Could do with Leicester finally living up to their pre-season billing on Saturday.

But remember, this is AA talking. There are loop holes, then there are AA loop holes and as Birch has said he has a completely different fair play philosophy.

Where will Lambert finish in our list of scorers?

Will beat Chivers but not Dominy IMO! -
The way Reading are going, we're going to need closer to 90 than 80 points.
-
Several times in the cup but never in the league. They got promoted the season we were relegated. Looks like the opposite might be happening this spring.

Excellent read. As the article says, these are/were the forgotten people of the Titanic tragedy (forgotten by everybody outside central Southern Hampshire, that is). This story should be compulsory study for all History/Humanities students throughout the city and county.

Pompey Ticket Details - game NOT televised
krissyboy31 replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
Per transaction. I booked my Barnsley and Coventry tickets in the week and was only charged £3. -
TBF they flooded midfield and overran us in the first half. Hammond and Guly were the right subs at the right time, changing to 4-5-1 made us much more compact, even if it didn't give us control of the game.
-
Bloody hell! Does he think they are going to make a movie of this and have Mel Gibson playing TCWB?
-
Thought Becchio was the best player we've played all season and gave Fonte a torrid time. It was the Alamo at times but some of the blocking was also magnificent.
-
Can I just say? Yesssssss Get In There!!!!
-
True but some of them are going to have to take massively reduced wages.
-
But neither of them are going to have a club to be a fan of.

I think the title of this thread is wrong now. Should be The P*mpey Demise Thread or The Fall and Fall of P*rtsm*uth FC.
