  1. Yeah I guess. Would have been interesting if Broja had had the speed of thought to see it coming and nudge the ball away instead of trying to shoot. He'd have been in big trouble then.
  2. He can whinge all he likes about the dangerous tackle from Stu, but he should consider himself very lucky he got the ball earlier on when he went flying in to block Broja with both feet off the ground. Stu's may have been a painful one, but this could have been a leg breaker if he had got his timing wrong.
  3. Rewind 25-30 years and this would perfectly describe a certain other Saints LB, who went on to become a club legend. I was very impressed with Perraud last night. And with KWP showing what we have missed defensively on the other side AND contributing to our attack, I would be very surprised if Tino automatically gets his place back when he's fit. With a back 4 of Perraud, Salisu, KWP and any one of Bednarek, Stephens or Lyanco, our defence looks so much better than it was this time last year.
  4. It's just a flesh wound 😉
  5. He's got the highest number of assists out of anyone in our squad this season.
  6. Redmond was invloved at both ends and provided the assist for our goal. Agree about Elyounoussi though. He works hard but he's just not a PL player. Looks like he's wearing lead boots when he tries to sprint and he just doesn't have enough about him to really impact on games at all. I can only assume there was some kind of injury/fitness issue that prompted Ralph to make the change at HT.
  7. Given how easily Grealish goes down on the pitch, Romeu could probably put him on his arse just by staring at him.
  8. Yep, agree he was excellent. And as good as Tino has been so far, having KWP back in at RB gave us a bit more steel in defence I thought. I would be very happy with these two as our first choice fullbacks for the rest of the season.
  9. He was called up to play in AFCON but turned it down, I believe.
  10. Considering they gave him MOTM, that seems quite unfair. He was immense today.
  11. 820 Man City fans agree with Chris Sutton it seems 🤨
  12. But that's precisely my point. He started to come, then changed his mind, and ended up stuck in no mans land. If we play the high defensive line from those FKs then Forster needs to stay on his line and trust himself to save whatever comes at him, not make a half-hearted effort to come for a ball that he's never going to get to and leave a free header into an empty net. He did exactly the same thing last week against Wolves.
  13. Wow. Great result. Unbeaten against City this season. And if only we had a keeper who could make his mind up whether or not to come for free kicks, we could have won it. Salisu and Perraud were the stand-out performers for me. Both brilliant.
  14. He's just so limited. Never does anything particularly wrong but just isn't up to PL standard.
  15. Salisu to the tune of Daddy Cool. Love it.
  16. Where the fuckety f**k have they got 6 minutes from!?
  17. If they'd sent him off for that it would have been a travesty.
  18. Oh FFS. VAR is gonna send Stu off now isn't it.
  19. Short of asking for the game to be paused so he can go out and sign £500m of players before restaring, what can he do? This City team are just relentless.
  20. Forster caught in no mans land again.
  21. Hope Stu is OK. Could do without him being sidelined again.
  22. St Marys rocking by the sounds of it.
  23. Laporte lucky he made contact with that. He had two feet off the ground when he made that block.
