  1. He can be, as we have seen flashes of it in the past. But only so much of his overall performance last night can be attributed to how he was instructed to play by the manager. There are so many aspects of it which can't. Constantly dithering on the ball and allowing defenders to regroup Consistently failing to beat the first defender with a forward pass Putting his team-mates in trouble on numerous occasions with over/under hit sideways and backwards passes Standing on the edge of the box watching instead of making himself available for a cut-back when Lemina burst through (he was unmarked FFS) Ducking out of the way of a FK when he was supposed to be the one-man defensive wall None of these things can be excused by the manager's tactics and instructions.
  2. But that only applies to games that are already televised by Sky. I think what Saint Clark was alluding to is making every game available on a PPV basis. People living in Canada and Thailand for instance can legally watch any EPL game they choose on a saturday afternoon, yet the actual fans of those clubs can't. It's a f*cked up situation.
  3. Well she has, but only in the softest possible terms... www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-42172032
  4. It doesn't bode well when the opposition manager is giving him the rocket up his a*se that he should be getting from his own manager. MP doesn't come across as somebody who is that passionate.
  5. Right, now that I've calmed down a bit, I'll make some proper comments on the game... First off, big props to MP for the way he set the team up tonight. The shape worked well and we managed to contain City for the most part. They had a few chances, granted, but they didn't at any point look like they would carve us open the way they have done to other teams this season. Positives... Back 3 looked composed and comfortable with the formation Lemina back in CM is a massive bhoost as he is probably our best player Hoj put in another decent shift and showed he can play OK against better opposition than he did on Sunday Forster had a decent game and made a few good saves. Nothing spectacular, but at least he didn't let in anything that he shouldn't have. Negatives... Poor finishing again. we had three free headers from set pieces and couldn't hit the target with any of them. Redmond. Just what does he offer the team? I'm baffled how he keeps getting picked. He was just so abysmally bad again tonight. No skill, no intelligence with the ball to play in others, and criminally ducked out of the way of the FK for their first goal when he was supposed to be the defensive wall. And to top it all off he is a moany little pr*ck as well. How the hell did he manage to pass our character test when we signed him? I would be happy to never see him play in a Saints shirt again.
  6. Absolutely sickening. The lads played really well tonight to keep Man City at bay and fully deserved a draw. Can't fault the quality of the finish from Sterling and Forster (who actually had a decent game tonight) couldn't do anything about it. But 6 mins added time? Really? Cedric was down for maybe a minute at most, so where the hell did that come from? It's like a sucker punch.
  7. Yep. Time of the goal was well over the 5 minutes added on, and I can't for the life of me work out why we had that much added time anyway.
  8. That is f*cking sickening.
  9. Heart in mouth moment. My stream is about 1:20 behind it seems and Bet365 just flashed up to tell me Man City had scored, but quickly retracted it. And as I type that, they really do score this time
  10. 5 mins added time? Where the f*ck has that come from!?
  11. Would have kept Hoj on and swapped Boufal for Redmond myself. But hey-ho.
  12. 3 good chances we have wasted from set pieces now.
  13. Wrong move IMO. Hoj is doing well in there, this will weaken our midfield.
  14. He never does when he's got Redmond in front of him. He knows that anything he does will be futile because NR will f*ck it up anyway.
  15. Yep. Literally any one of those players on the bench right now would be a better option than him. Utterly, utterly awful tonight.
  16. FFS Redmond actually just ducked out of the way of that FK instead of trying to get his head on it. Get that useless c*nt off the pitch now MoPe.
  17. I can sort of see the logic of playing Redmond in this game, as in theory he is pacy and should be able to cause the Citeh defense problems on the break. But oh my days he has been crap. No ball control, no intelligence and just generally awful. Very much the weak link tonight.
  18. Yep. Hoedt free header from a corner. Should have buried it but just got a little bit under the ball and couldn't keep it down.
  19. Absolutely awful. Managed to cock up his through ball to Lemina and got a lucky ricochet, then when Lemina burst through he's just stood there on the edge of the box without a clue what to do or where to be. Shocking player.
  20. Oh lordy. We actually should be 2-0 up by now.
  21. They are killing my acca at the moment. Everton were so bad on Sunday I thought they would be nailed on to lose again.
  22. Everton 2-0 up against West Ham now.
  23. Yep. Despite our ultra-defensive lineup we still contrived to leave 3 Citeh players unmarked in our own box there. We'll get heavily punished if we carry on like that.
  24. This one is working well for me (through a VPN though)
  25. Not sure what Redmond was trying to do there. Coming backwards and looking for options, and just wellies it straight at one of his own players.
