Matt Targett - Joins Aston Villa (Official)
Sheaf Saint replied to Kaiser Soze's topic in The Saints
Everyone is talking about Vokins being backup to Bertrand now, but what's Sam McQueen's situation? He always looked solid if unspectacular when he played a handful of games for the first team before, and I rated him higher than Targett. I know he did his ACL while on loan at Boro last season and came back to recover. Is he expected to be fit again for the new season? If so is he likely to go out on loan again? -
With Redders and Djenepo behind them. Suddenly our attacking unit looks very pacey. Maybe we could get back to the 2014-16 days of 'tearing them a new one'?

Being an extreme pedant, his name was actually William

Is it just me that reads Ducky's posts and imagines hearing them in the voice of Al Murray's Pub Landlord? -

Or is it Ken Bruce? One of the two. Maybe they are the same person. -

He looks like a ripped Les Reed -
Gonna be very strange seeing my local pub full of Saints fans!

I think you'll find that happened loooooong before the introduction of VAR.

£10m? I would drive him there myself for that much money. But then, I only live 2 minutes away from Bramall Lane

This is the guy you nutters want to impose on us as PM, because despite all the evidence pointing to the fact that he is utterly unfit to hold down any kind of job, let alone a high office, you think he is best placed to deliver your Brexit fantasies. Just how do you think he would fare in any trade negotiations with Trump and his administration? They would run rings around him FFS.
-
Utterly incoherent. Sounds like Rowley Birkin from the Fast Show FFS. My cat, who chases his own tail and dribbles all over the place, would make a better PM than this chump.
-
That was then. Your tone towards him has very much changed recently. So what's changed then Ducky? How is it that in less than a year you have gone from vigorously disliking him because he's not extreme enough for you, to being convinced he is the right man to lead the Tory party?

You can rightly claim that in choosing to call the Guardian they had their own political agenda. But your cries that only lefties have sufficiently low morals to do such a thing are negated by the publication of that picture of Boris and Carrie together at the weekend which was quite obviously also a political PR stunt. If going to the press with a story about the possibility of the incoming PM being involved in a domestic violence incident is an invasion of their privacy, then how would you describe the publication of a photo of them holding hands on apparently private property?
-
Don't know how you can say the Robinson one was unprovoked. He and his crew were harassing the guy in the street for his own political purposes, and you can clearly see in that video his body language is quite aggressive.

A pretty good job? Are you being serious? It's just a massive deflection, which then goes on to admit that they are indeed funded by Koch Industries under the guise of some apparently noble project to promote tolerance and free speech. F*ck me Hypo. I suppose next you're going to tell me that you believe the Taxpayers Alliance really are just an independent group of disgruntled taxpayers? Edit: Here's a little more insight into the motives of the Koch Foundation, which funds Spiked... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/answer-sheet/wp/2014/11/07/charles-koch-foundations-unique-definition-of-academic-freedom/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.f0d98fa4354e

Who does?
-
Okay I see your point. But if you're looking for a reasoned, objective opinion of climate activism from Spiked, then you really shouldn't be. It has no credibility whatsoever.
-
In fairness, she was probably just responding to the question "Will you be pressing charges?" by a reporter.
-
She's already said she won't be pressing charges, so this story will just fizzle out anyway.
-
I meant their description of climate protestors in general, such as: Green protesters can do whatever the hell they like They have become almost gods in the political pantheon They are treated as dispensers of humanity-saving wisdom that the rest of us must slavishly listen to Refuse to do that and you are a ‘denier’ of their gospel truth Like I said, none of that applies to any that I have ever met. It's just an obviously biased opinion piece written by someone in the pay of the big oil-funded, global climate science denial network. They most certainly are not 'entirely correct'.
-
All of it really. I've had a little involvement at a local level in environmental protests, and the description of these people given in this article is completely inaccurate. It's nothing but a transparent attempt to dismiss their concerns and demonise them by the propaganda arm of the big oil lobby.
-
How can it be acceptable in this day and age that this needed a petition to trigger a by-election? The fact that it doesn't happen automatically following a conviction of fraud in public office speaks volumes about how corrupt and out-dated our political framework really is.
-
Spiked is funded by Koch Industries. Now I wonder what axe they have to grind with climate protestors?
