  1. Well done to all those who attended, really good stuff. I hope you can keep the pressure on as I can't see Lowe life going without a big fight. Still boycotting myself but going to Watford next Sat. Up the Saints - f**k off Lowe.
  2. The Ipswich pair were Arnold Muhren and Frans Thijssen. Both very good midfielders in a very good Ipswich team (2nd in div 1 for 2 seasons in a row). Anyway, this Dutch bloke doesn't sound too bad.
  3. At least some of the fans have woken up........
  4. It's an Indian takeover? I had one of those last night. Bloomin delicious.
  5. It felt to me that Man U could have scored as many as they wanted against a neutered SFC. I have read on here that 3-0 wasn't a bad score. The reason why it wasn't a bad score is because it was the scoreline that Man U decided they were happy with. We had no say in it whatsoever, we were helpless bystanders. It would have made a much more interesting spectacle for us to have been awarded a 10 goal start and to see if Man U could have overhauled us.
  6. I'm sure it's what most of us fully expected, it's exactly what I expected. United had no axe to grind, we are nothing to them, they just wanted the job to be done and then to get out. 3-0 was a perfect score - give us a good thumping without totally humiliating us. Men vs boys I'm afraid. I don't blame the players or even the manager as they are trying, albeit ineffectively. No, the neutering of a once competitive SFC lies firmly at the feet of Lowe and his doomed vision. As for JPs views, they made me squirm. The red card was totally justified as it was potentially a leg breaking challenge. As for the pen I thought it was debateable. However if you are stupid enough to raise your arm in the penalty area when the ball hits you then you are asking for trouble, hopefully a lesson learnt. Oh well, back to the championship we go.
  7. Pretty much agree with that, 3-0 to Unt within 30 mins and then they ease up. They have no reason to humiliate us, we seem perfectly capable of doing that to ourselves. Lowe Out.
  8. Best of luck to the lad and thanks for the decent work he put in at the back for half a season. Also thanks to Chelsea for letting us have him in the first place. It's a shame that Chairman Lowe didn't arrive on loan as he would have already been sent back marked as 'Damaged Goods'. Lowe Out.
  9. Rupes, if I can get her to sign I think I've just found our next manager.....
  10. Talking of KK it's amazing recalling the names of big name players that Lawrie Mac did sign: KK, Shilton, Dave Watson, Charlie George, Peter Osgood, Mick Mills........ Lawrie really was an awesome manager.
  11. Walk out the doors of SMS and never come back......
  12. I'm sure all the happy clappies are thinking '4 points from Reading and only 18 points away from the playoffs.............isn't Lowe a super duper chairman'. Lowe out.
  13. If you want real managerial change you have to start with those that do the appointing. You can shout for a new manager but until Lowe goes we will stumble from one disastrous appointment to the next...........
  14. Exactly, you have to be ready to apply huge financial pressure and grind the shareholders down till they get rid of him. Be prepared for a massive fight. The other 'one off' suggestions on here are just fluff which Lowe and his faceless backers will laugh at.
  15. As a fan the biggest hit you can deal Lowe\Wilde is to withdraw funds. Its a crying shame to have to go down this route but its just about all you have. By all means vote against the current regime but you will be playing their game and won't make much of an effect.
  16. Just noticed that Nigel Pearson's Leicester thumped Peterborough 4-0 this afternoon to go 4 points clear at the top of div 1. He was our bloody manager until Mr Lowe had one of his regular brain farts. Lowe must go, he is destroying us. That's why I'm going to keep on applying the financial tourniquet ; I won't back Lowe to kill this club.
  17. Changing managers will not improve anything while Lowe is making the decisions I'm afraid. You want to kill the snake? Remove its head.
  18. Until Lowe goes - or he undoes the damage he created - many fans like myself will not set foot inside SMS. Lowe could change this situation at a stroke but somehow I don't think he will, therefore I'm in for the long haul. At some point you have to take a stand.
  19. It's a shame the ever popular and brilliant Lowe didn't tell us what the average attendance is now compared with seasons past........ LOL at the man's delusional arrogance.
  20. Who says they will be rushing back at the 'first chance'? I won't (but I don't begrudge others if they do). My decision to stay away was about Lowe, whilst he stays nothing has changed. I think you are getting ahead of yourself.
  21. Yesterday was the first game I've been to this season and TBH I wasn't that bothered as I had all but lost my enthusiasm for SFC and I thought we'd be on the end of another depressing drubbing. By the time the final whistle went I had a smile a mile wide and was feeling actual excitement about the club again. We didn't just beat one of the promotion favorites on their own turf, we took the p**s for the majority of the match - both on and off the pitch. Infact I'm struggling to recall a game I've been to in the last 25 years where my expectations were as far exceeded as that one yesterday. Congratulations to players and fans - brilliant, simply brilliant. Now that I've seen that these boys can play some good stuff what they need to do is to take the confidence gained from this game and run with it. I'm crossing my fingers that yesterday was a breakthrough. It's sooooooooo good to actually feel good about this club for the first time in a long time!!
  22. Exactly, chanting might get the frustration off your chest but staying away is what twists the knife. Do you want to shout or do you want him gone for good? Also could the chanting be pretty weak because all the original anti Lowe fans (like me) simply aren't turning up anymore?
  23. I'm not particularly interested in getting rid of JP, he was parachuted in by Lowe and for better or worse is the man incharge. Very hard to judge JP TBH under present circumstances. I do question what Wotte is doing. If we are that strapped for cash do we really need him? That said it's not the first team management I have issue with. It's Lowe, probably the most divisive figure in this club's entire history. Just by coming back he split the fanbase and then his first decision was to get rid of a popular manager and rub salt into the wounds. I think we'd be lower mid table with NP but thats all history now. He is a big part of the reason why a lot of fans are absent, though the results don't exactly make staying away and saving a load of cash a gut wrenching decision TBH. He is also a 'one trick pony' chairman who seems to concentrate solely on slashing costs without thinking about the effect on future revenue. His chairmanship is death by a thousand cuts, sell best players, crowds reduce, sell best players, crowd reduce a bit more ad infinitum. I think we may drop down to 10k this season, unbelievable really considering we we in the 30k range 5 seasons ago. He may be in a tight spot now but he's always been like this, even when we were getting all the sky cash and had crowds of 32,000. I lost count of the amount of times I thought we was oh so quick to offload our best players and replace them with lesser players. It's a recipe for slow death as we are currently witnessing. When a club is in a bad place as we are at the moment it seems dumb to install a chairman who puts the back up of most of the fans. We need unity, not division.
  24. Ha ha, I'm not a pessimist or an optomist, just a realist like most other fans. I'd be ecstatic with 4th from bottom to be honest.
