Top 3 signings for me would be to keep Davies, John and Rasiak. On top of that I'd like to see a combative midfielder to give us a bit of steel in the middle of the park.
-
Cheers! Just shows the power that fans can wield if they are motivated enough. Fingers crossed this is the beginning of something good at the club for a change.

I wanted KK but am in two minds about Wotte. I like the fact that the guy has been loyal but I'm not convinced he could take us to where the new owner wants us i.e the prem. Someone like KK on the other hand could. TBH If I was taking over one of the first things I'd try to do before hiring the manager is tie down some of our big players - John, Rasiak and Davies before any of them go. Keep hold of these 3 and I think we've got a good chance of getting out of this league at the first attemp.
-
Because it's a fantastic investment. This is a club with premier league facilities and support levels that due to be run by a procession of a**holes is currently languishing in div 1. With a modest outlay and a bit of TLC there's no reason why we can't get back to the premier league and be sold for a tidy profit.
-
Because this is potentially an excellent investment for them. They get the club on the cheap, put a modest amount in with the aim of prem football then when they get back to the prem they sell up. They aren't doing this for the love of SFC.
-
If no-one else wants S.John and Rasiak (and assuming we have a club) then it would be madness not to play them up front this season. Fingers crossed for a goal fest.

I still have a strong feeling that Pinnacle's game plan was always to push this to the wire to squeeze the price down but unfortunately for them another group has come in with some financial muscle which may force them to act. If they weren't interested you would think that they would have backed off for good yet they still seem to be hanging around. They took a look at the books, decided they liked what they saw but wanted to get it at as low a price as possible so concocted an excuse over league points to soften Mr Fry up a bit. I think that MLT and TL were honest and acted with integrity but the money men are now calling the shots and they are going to play hard ball right till the bitter end. All IMO of course.
-
So Pinnacle think they would still have the fans support

Me too, I'm begining to think that all along their game plan was to drag this one out to the bitter end and that the league points issue was a red herring. I would imagine Mark Fry will become more 'amenable' to a new bid price the closer SFC comes to extinction and Fialka et al could save a considerable sum of money. My guess is the brinkmanship will go right to the wire. -
Its at times like this that you see who the loyal people are and Wotte has certainly acted loyally. Not my 1st choice as manager but someone who by his actions has warmed on me. Thanks Mark.

Article says last updated 12:21pm Jul 1st so who knows?? Could taking this to the absolute wire in order to force a rock bottom price have been Pinnacles strategy (or their backers at least) from the very off ??? FL is just a convenient excuse to keep on stalling?? Guess we'll find out very soon.

We were in the prem 4 years ago and now we are talking about the blue sq prem. This feels surreal.

I thought MLT said Pinnacle would step in by the end of Tuesday. By my watch it's not yet the end of Tuesday...................

The new line up will be: DoF = Keegan Manager = Shearer Tactical Coach = Hoddle Tea boy\toilet cleaner = R****t L**e

Totally agree and I hope the idiots that have been posting their ill informed and panicky speculation will feel well and truly embarassed, most of it has been cringeworthy. Seal the deal guys - the majority of decent fans are right behind you.

No one knows the full ins and outs so everyone needs to calm down a bit and wait for this to conclude. As far as I can tell Pinnacle are still in pole position but they will know that if they delay much longer they might be overtaken by the Swiss. To all these guys it's a business decision and they aren't going to invest unless they are perfectly happy with what they have invested in. Who knows, maybe their game plan all along was to procrastinate and take this right to the wire in order to screw every penny out of Jackson that they can ..... wouldn't be too far fetched as their optimum outcome is to pay exactly what the assets are worth and no more. -
So Mike Fialka lives in Southgate....wonder if he's a Spud or a Gooner? Hopefully this will be completed ASAP and if it\when it is I'd like to wish Mike and the Pinnacle team the best of luck (just ignore the idiots on here).
-
I wouldn't blame TL - he won't be the one making the final decision. For that you need to consult the money man behind the scenes.
-
Meanwhile a certain duck shooting ex chairman is quietly chuckling to himself. If this club traded as itself like most others do then this would be a straightforward -10 and Pinnacle would know exactly where they stood. Instead we have yet another L**e inspired mess that this time might just finish us off. Hope you're happy L**e.

Heath - 1984 semi final scoring b*****d. Keane - 2005 relegation taunting b*****d. Venables - Wide boy ****ney MLT ignoring b*****d. Neil Warnock - big stupid mouthy northern b*****d. Mark Lawrenson - Sneering preening 'on my TV every bloody week' b*****d. Ashley Cole - 'I need more money, I'm only on 60k a week' greedy money grabbing b*****d. R****t L**e - The ultimate b*****d.

This is dragging on now, starting to lose confidence that Pinnacle will buy the club.

Tony Lynham won't be making the call, it's his backer who will have to make his\her mind up. I hope they go through with this as I still think we've got a decent shot at playoffs if we can all pull together.

I don't think the FL have done anything wrong here, everyone knows that we are in administration and we should just take it on the chin. I'd like to see a bit of decency and honour here. Besides which, I can't see how we have a case as this isn't even a legal argument. The FL own this show and they set whatever rules they want. If they say 'no appeal' you just have to swallow it with a bit of dignity. Don't get me wrong, I want this -10 overturned as much as the next fan but I want it erased the right way, by winning our first 4 games and then going on to storm the league.
