  1. If we beat Cov to let the skates stay up, we could say that we saved them. Looking at how Bournemouth view us, I think that would wind them up (pardon the pun) even more
  2. I suppose that means that pretending to smoke those white candy sticks is forbidden now as well.
  3. I reckon Birmingham will take an automatic promotion spot. Hopefully at West Ham's expense.
  4. I can't believe he's been allowed near the U21s, Team GB and the senior national team.
  5. The club are dropping the ball by missing opportunities like these. I went to The Dell for a mate's 10th birthday as someone who previously had no interest in following a football team. Sat in the dressing room at Neil Shipperley's place. I might not have heard of him then (Tour guide: "Have you ever heard of him?" Me: "No." Cue awkward moment) but I certainly knew who the team were by the end of the day.
  6. Too close is when the person behind is close enough to risk getting hosed-down when the one at the urinal feels things are a little too close for comfort. So... 2 metres should be safe... My own bugbear concerning lack of respect of personal space is when a certain type of bloke who I have the misfortune to put up with sits with his legs as wide apart as possible like a gorilla, so their knee ends up pushing up against mine. Can't stand it, and there's no excuse for it. Polite requests to stop inevitably result in the **** taking offence.
  7. I thought results weren't as important as allowing the youngsters to develop. The articles lamenting our lack of senior international talent always note how we place too much emphasis on results early on. Might be worth remembering that now.
  8. What the hell is a Ricky Martin world..?
  9. Thierry Henry hasn't even retired yet. He scores against Leeds and people talk as though it's the resurrection.
  10. Corrected it for you.
  11. I like the Jerry Lee Lewis version (after our own rendition, obviously)
  12. I remember when people on here used to bring up George Burley's win percentage in an utterly lame attempt to show how well he was doing in comparison to the likes of Strachan and Hoddle. Never quite understood how that statistic got wheeled out so often when the managers were literally working in different leagues. Makes me so grateful to have Adkins on board. Who needs dodgy stats when the only stat that matters is the no.1 spot on the league table?
  13. Not necessarily no complaints, but at least when the club tells you how much a ticket costs, then you'll have a good idea of how much it costs.
  14. This got me wondering whether there is a similar site I can send photos DIY ****-ups to.
  15. It was hard to hear the Saints fans during the game, but that was surely more to do with the way the microphones were set up around the ground... At the end of the game, during the post-mortem analysis the remaining Saints fans were obviously singing loudly non-stop, but it sounded very distant considering the commentary box was relatively near.
  16. The only way to make amends for this would be to have the media report the background behind calling them 'skates' as fact. At least they describe the place as a small fishing village. Wasn't aware of this however... funny how contrary to what gets reported, looking back in history it's always Portsmouth who are the strike breakers.
  17. Not his fault that Pompey can't fill their shed with their own supporters.
  18. Fantastic article, and I'm only halfway through it.
  19. I fail to understand why this parent wants to advertise her utterly miserable failure of a family in the media.
  20. i'm sure someone here can aim a spare webcam on their tv...
  21. I can spot a few ones that shouldn't really be on there but I'll leave that for others to mention. I definitely recall Christian O'Connell on his radio show a few months ago saying something along the lines of not being bothered to support Saints as they weren't in the Premiership any more. Lame!
  22. Wow, speak for yourself indeed! The more goals the merrier... there's plenty of quality in the build-up.
  23. Sold to a Korean restaurant.
  24. Yes.
