Zaha was probably referring to the League Cup 2-0 defeat at Selhurst last season when he was taking the **** against our players. I think I remember at least one of our players getting upset with him, so it probably was Guly. At least we got six points from them from the other fixtures. I don't recall Zaha being too good for us in them. (Great prospect for the future though).

In his nine years of management, Adkins has achieved something special, be it promotion or winning a title or reaching a final in every season except for one relegation. I think that if we give him the rest of the season to turn things round, he can do it. And if he doesn't, it will be because we didn't purchase the defenders that he said he wanted in the summer. I struggle to comprehend that he is the weak link in Southampton Football Club, and therefore getting rid of him will not solve our current situation.

If anyone can learn and improve from a relegation, it would be Adkins. However I have an awful feeling he will do this away from SFC, at our expense when he comes up against us with another side in a few years' time.

Last year at Crystal Palace we put out a similar team and lost 0-2... league performance is all that matters.

As one or two others have mentioned earlier, Glynn Snodin arrived in the spring of 2006, and left in summer 2007. Before and after those dates, we were awful. During his stay as assistant manager, we were ok - we did manage to get 6th place. I rest my case.
