Did a good job for us, and no doubt will continue to do so.

We English have been on the receiving end of many penalty shootout humiliations... we don't complain about it because we know our teams weren't good enough to win in normal time. It's a fair way of deciding who was the better team on the night. If a team has a problem with that, they should go all out to win a game before it has to be settled that way.

SouthamptonSaintsFC did the one showing the goals up to October.

http://www.matchhighlight.com/forums/view.php?topic=DL201204296771 This is the Sky video, but seems to be jerky/missing video in places so will keep looking. Either that or my computer was struggling.

If I can download a copy I'll try and spread it, put it on 4shared and mediafire...

Nice touch to include a little message to the lot down the road: "You're gonna reap just what you sow"

I'm not normally one to jump on a bandwagon, but I agree with cynicalsaint... Mr 19132 posts needs to calm down and have a beer. Next weekend we will go up at home (here's hoping anyway...)

What has been our record for tv games this season? For someone who can't get to many games it must have felt like we've been battling relegation rather than fighting for the title. Of course it'll be lovely getting used to that feeling again in anticipation of next season.

Mind games? His idea of a mind game is a bout of noughts and crosses

Saints 2 Palace 0 - Post Match Reactions
stardustonmyfeet replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
I think they're called the Crystal Girls? If I had a teenage daughter I wouldn't let her prance around in a miniskirt at a footy match, but I guess an eagle threatening to land on De Ridder's head as he jogs across the pitch isn't enough entertainment for some. I cycled from a mate's house near Croydon and arrived just after kick-off to buy a ticket in the main stand, and was greeted by a worried looking steward who asked me where I was from, and if I was one of the 'Southampton Bikers'. What the hell?! It sounded like they were expecting the Hell's Angels in the guise of a bunch of ponces on pushbikes. Couldn't really do anything but pretend to be a local and laugh in his face. I wonder if anyone here can shed any light as to what he was on about. I have an image of a gang of yoof cycling across the country to away games, creating mayhem and leaving carnage and desolation in their wake. Maybe one day I'll learn to upload my blurry photos and videos so you can see just how bad I am at using a camera. Oh and our support was incredible. I'm so proud of Southampton. -
There were a lot of times earlier on where he stayed on his feet when lesser players would have gone down. Yes it was a dive towards the end, but you could see it was more out of frustration than anything else. It looked like he really lost his cool for the last 10 minutes of the game.

I'd be interested in a ticket as well, if possible to meet up at Selhurst Park.

Were you as embarassed as me by yesterday ?

I know crowd noise on TV can be misleading due to positioning of microphones, etc. but yesterday I tuned in around 65 minutes in, and the rest of the match was non-stop Saints songs. Now that is pretty damn good, and we were three nil down. I laughed at the end when Jake Humphrey mentioned how "the home fans know how to make an atmosphere" to cheering at the final whistle. It could only have been sarcasm except he sounded frighteningly sincere.

Mind games?! If I was a West Ham supporter I'd be furious to read those comments. As if they aren't ****ed off enough already with him, then he goes and starts w@nking over Southampton.

What kind of foot-in-mouth history was the poster referring to? Did he challenge them to keep up with S****horpe he got relegated with them or something?

TBF that's agood summary of the programme

Listening live... James Allen is surprisingly bearable on radio.

Up to 5817 tickets for Palace away - SOLD OUT
stardustonmyfeet replied to stevegrant's topic in The Saints
A former colleague of mine supports Palace, and I can't be bothered to hang out with him if Saints aren't playing. Plus Selhurst Park is about halfway between us so it should work out ok. However, either of us could be working on Easter Monday so it makes sense to just decide whether to go on the morning, by which point it would be surely far easier to get tickets with the home supporters (and maybe a few quiet Saints) who probably won't have sold out their end... sounds like a plan to me anyway?! -

I'll probably be in with the home fans. -
Plenty of people deserve it more. When you consider that the real damage done to our club happened in the years Lowe was out of the picture, I would've thought that with hindsight he didn't do such a bad job after all. 2008-2009 seemed crazy at the time, but we were already in the ****. And we dealt with it far better than a number of clubs that are up the creek at this moment in time. If anything my respect for him has grown.

At least they'd have some pots to **** in, then

Perhaps we would do better with rumba or tango people? FWIW I think you have a point, we need to do whatever it takes to maximise revenue so as to avoid financial catastrophe. Hopefully the club realise this, hence giving short shrift to those who haven't made enough of an impact over 6 months. I wonder what Chell's predecessors are doing now?
