  1. My I larfed....!!!
  2. Whatever the numbers - I just hope they stay behind the boys all the way through the game. No booing - just great support.
  3. The thread was fine - but unfortunately it centers around around Cortese, and that alone appears to be enought to take it off track with a few posters. Personally I would be quite interested to hear what snippets others found out at the dinner. I'd leave it open.
  4. 'kin bankers, the lot of them...!
  5. WGS moved on to pastures new - and really it didn't work out for him to well. Before us he was at Coventry - again not a great success. Sometimes it is the club that also makes the manager a success.
  6. Shame really - it was a half decent thread while it lasted.
  7. As a matter of interest, how did the old 'fans forums' used to run. How many attended, was it a 'freeforall' first come first in affair, how many attended, how often did they take place...???
  8. Tee hee to you too.....! http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?35397-Lucky-B*stard!
  9. Cheating the public revenue, and a relatelvely small amount of money, punishment is at the judges discretion according to this report: http://news.sky.com/home/video/uk-news/video/16155810
  10. Really, which people? You mean the people who were pro the event, or the people who were anti? I thought I understood them all, and the man who stood in the middle of the argument, you know the one who was gracious enough to extend the dinner invitations. Hence my comment.
  11. Damned if you do, damned if you don't... oh the joys of being the Chairman of a football club.
  12. I wonder how much coffee has gushed over the screen at that... priceless...
  13. Whilst I tend agree with some of your analysis FF, I think it's far too early to call it. You can bet your bottom dollar that Harry has paid his top dollar for a damn good brief. Either way - even if he is found guilty, I really can't see a custodial sentence for this one. Big old fine perhaps (which Harry can easily afford) - but that's about it. That said, in the word of good ol' Nick, I think he'll get away with it anyway..!

Cyber bullied eh - wouldn't condone any such action at all, but.... If you can't take the flak (call it bullying if you will) don't give it out. Eeerrrrr close your twitter account - don't interact and give the bullies a chance. Simples.
  15. Ooooo eerrrrr irrational and cretinous - sometimes I wish I just went with the flow..... In fact I will - dock to points - bollux to 'em. And there was peace.
  16. Oh no, I can't use ludicrous or unjust now.....! Can I just leave it there. Irrespective, my own point of view is that I don't particularly like the current rule. I don't have a better one in mind (although I'm fairly certain that somebody much more intelligent than I could formulate one). Also, I would like to add that I really wouldn't actually want this to happen. Unless we went on to win the league by more than 5 points, it would always feel like 'we never really'.
  17. Sorry for not being able to think of an alternative viable rule FA/FL at half past midnight - far too late for me. As a result I'll refrain from calling it a ludicrous system. My point centered around the number of games played and points won - it seem fairly unjust to me that a team who took maximum points from the games can be so heavily penalised.
  18. I've got no idea mate, non at all. I'm just pointing out that when you look at the system it does not really appear very fair - for the reasons that I stated above. Yes it's the rules, but so what. Just try and look at it as though we were the team that was going to get 6 points knocked off and see if it makes as much sence then.
  19. I don't think they will get wound up guys. They have been here before and they have survived, they will do it again. I know that it's in the FL rules, but when you sit and think about it, it is not a very fair system to expunge points anyway. Yes it's great for us as it stands, but put yourself in WHU's place and think about it. You've actually had to play a game more, won more points, only to be told that you are being leap frogged by a team that only managed to draw with the defunct team..! Ludicrous rule - creates far too many problems - I really, cannot see it happening. I might be wrong, but who knows - time will tell.
  20. It's been done to death on a small thread elsewhere - and besides that, it won't happen. The FL will do everything in their power to keep them going til at least the end of the season in order to fulfil the fixture list. After that, who knows - but there is no way any points are going to be expunged, non starter, straw clutching.
  21. Got on, before the mods.....!!!
  22. Is there actually a club that uses this transfer strategy?
  23. It's amazing how often I find that posters who don't post very frequently often speak the most sence. Good post.
  24. Sometimes you have to take a step back to go forward. If the players are aware of how bad the display was tonight that hopefully it get's a positive reaction. Personally I never actually thought we would get promoted this season - but we have got ourselves into a great position to challenge. Who knows - tonight might actually turn out to be a stepping stone to another good run of results.
