And in that one line you sum it up so neatly. Well neatly for you. Did you not read your own Trusts stance on this whole sorry saga? It's here: http://www.pompeytrust.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=297%3Apompey-trust-on-small-creditors-situation&catid=34%3Ademo-category You are correct. PFC (it would appear) have no legal obligation to pay these outstanding debts. You can wash you hands of them - they are gone. Happy to wallow in the success whilst racking up these debts, you now find it very easy to point the finger at an abscent owner, now that he has left the building. Read the statement again - I think your Trust are trying to highlight a lesson in morals. I could be wrong, but give it a shot anyway eh.

Err this too. No point getting all premature - great start, but it's only four games in so let's not start the back slapping just yet eh. As a very clever man said, 'it's not where you start that counts, it's where you finish'. If there were 3 weeks to go and we were where we are now I'd be wetting myself. We're not, 3 weeks gone - bloody long way to go. If we make the play offs I'd be delighted.

Ok, not conclusive I know, but this is the still with the ball on the bar: I have circled the ball on the bar. And as you can see, because of this camera angle and the line of sight between the point where the ball strikes and the stauntion (sic) - you may still see it as going wide. But trust me, and the thousands that were there - it didn't. No conspiracy theorist here please gents - nothing to see, move along now.
-
Should've gone to specsavers, and take your son with you. Seriously though - after about 10 takes of the bbc footage I was convinced that it went wide. But once you slow it frame by frame, you can see it is nothing more than an 'illusion' caused by the camera angle, the bend on the ball and the view as it goes past Kelvins hand. Take the 1m 07s shot, frame by frame and you will see it - you can actually get the picture of the ball on the bar. Failing that of course, you can always watch the goal taken from behind goal, which clearly shows the ball hit the bar and begs the question what the hell are we all waffling on about on this thread....!!!

To be fair to them (the trust) they appear to be doing a good job of highlighting this issue and not pulling any punches with their reporting and assessment of it. The 'spin' that is being quoted though is somewhat hard to believe. The club have no problems in negotiation complex transfer arrangements for numerous players, but can't see their way through the 'red tape' that blocks payment to the man in the street. Me, sceptical at best. And to think that this is a matter of only 120k (is that right?), which in footballing terms is nothing short of loose change, is pretty disgusting really. 2 or 3 weeks wages of some of their high earners and the man in the street could get his money back. Is the club just showing contempt for it's supporters, or is it actively really trying to repay what those supporters are owed. I wonder.

God, I hope we don't go and sign him now - given the overwhelming vote of no confidence. My opinion FWIW - if you move from an upwardly mobile Fulham FC to a faltering Hull City, no matter what you say, the main driving force has to have been money. As somebody else said - avoid.
-
After watching it about ten times, I would've agreed with you - it certainly looks like it does. But - it doesn't. You actually nailed it with the 1m 07s, if you frame by frame it you can see that although it looks to have gone outside the post it is only an illusion because of the camera angle. About 2 frames into the 1m 07s shot the ball is actually on the bar about 2 - 3 foot from the post, but again you have to look carfully because again it's a bit of an illusion, purely because what you thought you had seen before. The ball hit the bar. Besides my overwhelming evidence and professional analysis of this situation, even if it had of hit the 'net support post' to the rear of the goal, there is no way it would have rebounded in the fashion it did. The shot nearly snapped the crossbar - it would have decimated the 'net support post'...!!! I rest my case.

Really...? As you would say, 'link please'?

You and me both mate. The country is going to the dogs - riots in the streets and the first consideration appears to be the civil liberties of the rioters - sweet. Had I anything to do with the policing there would have been little need for overstretching the justice and courts system - because I would have shot as many as I could. Courts empty - good business for undertakers and vicars. My rant over too.

I did. What a complete and utter pillock that poster was - one only hopes that he hadn't yet turned 9 years of age - what a dunce. Well done Nige - richly deserved. But let's not rest on our laurels, win it next month as well...!!! I don't want much, do I.

This. Plus we are going to have to factor in loss of form, injuries and just plain bad luck - all will play a part. Would I take 6th now - yep, damn right I would. But I reserve the right to eerrrrr 'reassess' the situation if come April next year we are sitting in or around an auto spot...!

Ho will tell you that the lack of numbers is due to the high prices and low quality - they are still the bestest fans on the planet - fact.

Ipswich 2 - 5 Southampton - post match fapping session

I think you need to be a 'fools & horses' fan to understand that one. But I know what alex means. -
Just watched the Ripple Effect - got some interesting stuff in there - the 'bus' theory in particular. Other than that, unfortunately I remain one of the BBC brainwashed public - I prefer the reported scheme of events as opposed to the alternate, and somewhat unbelievable, theory that the government decided to kill innocent civilians, blame it on muslims in order to strengthen public resolve in overseas actions. As I say - it is an interesting theory - but let's be honest, there is now a 'conspiracy' behind many major events, few hold much water. My whole problem with such theories is the amount of people who would have to be on the 'inside' for them to be 'sucessful'. You just wouldn't be able to gag them all - somebody would blow thier cover. Would all of those people in high office really be prepared to risk everything on a plan of murder - I doubt it very very much. For the record, I don't think you are a nutter - your opinion is yours, you are welcome to share it with others - but don't expect them to be instantly converted to your way of thinking. A bit like trying to get a Saints fan to support Pompey - never gonna happy in a month of Sundays...!

What looked to be an interesting thread, ruined by errr.... the OP. Translation of the above somebody, please?
