England international football team - biggest sporting anti climax - every time, without fail. Talk about 'getting up' for the game - really cannot remember the last time that I was even overly interested, let alone 'up for the game'. Hate them.

Exactly, looking on the positive side, things can only get better for Alex. Arsenal remain one of the top sides in the country, he will have more good days than bad. Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk

12 million profit in the bank, now let's do something with it.

Why not start 2, one about what striker we might buy and then the other about what CB we might buy. I'm not sure that either of those subjects have been covered anywhere on here.

And exactly how do you know it's profit? -
Sounded like we gave it a good go, said elsewhere, if offered 12 from 15 most would have snatch at it. Good effort lads, hard luck - but well done.

Coffee meets screen moment there...!!!!

Anybody know if this is the new superduper all singing all dancing stream lined server, or the Commodore 64 that we normally use...???

Have a good friend who is a Coventry supporter, took great pride in showing me around the Ricoh when it first opened. Shame that it appears to be a kingdom built on foundations of sand though, and will now take an awful lot of underpinning. Always thought that we were mighty lucky and dodged a bullet with the 'Sisu deal'.

Gotta be honest Kraken - I think this is exactly what Dalek wants - his name up in lights. I make a point of never responding to him, he was tedious with hoddle and even more tedious with his 17th. But I ain't gonna lose any sleep over him.

Once Michael Owen signs - we'll be fine, believe he was seen getting off a plane at Aberdeen today, but as we all know, you can get a connecting flight from Aberdeen, via East Midlands Airport, straight into Southampton. A nailed on cert.

And in that one line you sum it up so neatly. Well neatly for you. Did you not read your own Trusts stance on this whole sorry saga? It's here: http://www.pompeytrust.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=297%3Apompey-trust-on-small-creditors-situation&catid=34%3Ademo-category You are correct. PFC (it would appear) have no legal obligation to pay these outstanding debts. You can wash you hands of them - they are gone. Happy to wallow in the success whilst racking up these debts, you now find it very easy to point the finger at an abscent owner, now that he has left the building. Read the statement again - I think your Trust are trying to highlight a lesson in morals. I could be wrong, but give it a shot anyway eh.

Err this too. No point getting all premature - great start, but it's only four games in so let's not start the back slapping just yet eh. As a very clever man said, 'it's not where you start that counts, it's where you finish'. If there were 3 weeks to go and we were where we are now I'd be wetting myself. We're not, 3 weeks gone - bloody long way to go. If we make the play offs I'd be delighted.

Ok, not conclusive I know, but this is the still with the ball on the bar: I have circled the ball on the bar. And as you can see, because of this camera angle and the line of sight between the point where the ball strikes and the stauntion (sic) - you may still see it as going wide. But trust me, and the thousands that were there - it didn't. No conspiracy theorist here please gents - nothing to see, move along now.
-
Should've gone to specsavers, and take your son with you. Seriously though - after about 10 takes of the bbc footage I was convinced that it went wide. But once you slow it frame by frame, you can see it is nothing more than an 'illusion' caused by the camera angle, the bend on the ball and the view as it goes past Kelvins hand. Take the 1m 07s shot, frame by frame and you will see it - you can actually get the picture of the ball on the bar. Failing that of course, you can always watch the goal taken from behind goal, which clearly shows the ball hit the bar and begs the question what the hell are we all waffling on about on this thread....!!!

To be fair to them (the trust) they appear to be doing a good job of highlighting this issue and not pulling any punches with their reporting and assessment of it. The 'spin' that is being quoted though is somewhat hard to believe. The club have no problems in negotiation complex transfer arrangements for numerous players, but can't see their way through the 'red tape' that blocks payment to the man in the street. Me, sceptical at best. And to think that this is a matter of only 120k (is that right?), which in footballing terms is nothing short of loose change, is pretty disgusting really. 2 or 3 weeks wages of some of their high earners and the man in the street could get his money back. Is the club just showing contempt for it's supporters, or is it actively really trying to repay what those supporters are owed. I wonder.
