  1. So boring that I didn't even know that it was on...! Was it today...? Who won, would be facinated to know.... honest...!!!
  2. I welcome them to League 1 and to SMS, good luck to them. Let's be honest, it's hardly the higher echelons of the League and not really a lot to be shouting about. Let them rant like 5 year old kids - I'd much rather we did our talking on the green stuff.
  3. Embellishment of figures like that may lead some to suggest that you could well find employment with Comical Andy down the road at PFC...!! Based on seeing the grand total of no games (other than Wembley): 1. Ricky Lambert - goals win games, big fee and he delivered. 2. Kelvin Davis - somewhat sentimental vote: turned down 'big' money move to bench warm, stayed loyal, got his reward at Wembley, but also because of the amount of times I heard or saw typed 'great save - kept us in it'.
  4. Absolutely FA help at all...! But I chuckled....! I was messing with the DSLR repeat shot function only yesterday - but as I said earlier, that shot was taken on a different camera. FWIW - this is the edited shot which was done using GIMP: Thanks for your help though, and good luck with the new camera.
  5. Don't know TS...!!!! However, what I do know is that I don't really want to change OS just yet, and am currently running Vista HE. I'm just interested to see what sort of thing is possible. Now I know that you can more or less do anything with an image and basically change it beyond recognition of the original, however, thats not really what I want. This actually started because I recently went to a wedding and took (amongst others) this photo of the bride and groom: I should say that this image was not taken with the new D3000, but with an old FujiFilm Finepix F20. Without cropping the image, I want to edit out the lady & gent in the background. I have managed to do a reasonable job of removing the woman, but would like to learn how to edit properly. By the way - many thanks to all those who have replied with help thus far, have downloaded Paint.net, but am open to any advise.
  6. Avram Grant really is getting just a little bit stupid now. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_6111765,00.html He continues with the 'it's everybody else's fault' yet when pressed fails to actually come up with an answer as to 'whose'? It is very easy to say it's not fair on PFC, but why oh why can he not see anybody else's view of this and at least acknowledge that, throughout all of this shyte PFC has bloody benefitted, whilst all other clubs (and creditors) have lost out. He really is now just becoming an embarrasment, just think where they would have been had they not cheated.
  7. Have run Norton 360 for 3 years or so, never had a problem with it and it certainly does not inhibit the machine speed wise. Happy Norton user here - I'll stick with it for now.
  8. CHeers Dan. Strangley, I was just looking at this at around half the price: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Adobe-Photoshop-Elements-7-PC/dp/B001ELK946/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=software&qid=1271957890&sr=1-2 The reviews seem to say that it's a bit of a beast of a program, could be hard for a novice to get around. Any thoughts?
  9. Having recently organised all of my digital photos and so decided to invest in a new camera and plumped for the Nikon D3000. The camera is great for a DSLR starter pack, but I now find that I want to edit some of the photos - but I have no idea about which s/w pack to go for. I am a complete novice to this sort of S/W, having only dabbled with a few nobs and buttons in things like PhotoScape, Gimp and Paint Shop Pro, without really knowing what I was doing. Could anybody recommend a good Photo Editing Suite to start with. I don't really want to pay too much for it - certainly don't want to get into 3 figures, but would like something that is quite comprehensive and accomplished (easy to use would also be a bonus). Any help would be greatly appreciated - many thanks.
  10. Makes no mention of that here: http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/170334/West-Ham-boss-Gianfranco-Zola-is-facing-the-axe
  11. Well if that's what all the fuss is about, I suggest some of you get out a little more. Disappointed manager giving frank answers to questions, M's out of m's in my opinion...
  12. I generally tell them that I will get the Master of the house to talk to them, give the phone to my 8 year old son, who loves talking to anybody on the phone, and leave him to it - works every time for me.
  13. Agreed - would much rather go for it than sit on it..
  14. Getting to SBT now.....
  15. Err what, really, Vistaprint - nice...!!!!!?????
  16. Through it all, still I actually feel sorry for them. It really is a putrid, grimey, cess pit of a situation, the stench of (continued?) malpractices is just overpowering. Why the FAPL, and civil authorities, continue to hold handkerchiefs to thier (stuck up) noses and whiff the fresher air of other clubs is astounding. But I am beginning to agree with Nick - the awful smell of dung, could well turn to the sweet aroma of summer blossoms as PFC, through all of the cheating, come up smelling of roses.
  17. Something may well get buried, I don't think it will be the news though...!
  18. Good stuff as usual, keeps it real, interesting and funny. Looking forward to the next installment Billy.
  19. Which 'Team of the Week' ?
  20. Sorry to drag this one back up again, but was watching this last night: http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00rqfx0/Girls_on_the_Frontline/ For anybody who doubted the value of having women working alongside men on operations, you can clearly see that there is a place for it. The woman featured show just how professional they are in conducting their job role in some of the most hostile conditions many of us will ever see, let alone witness. These women (and men) are the reason why Tilern DeBique should have recieved nothing - this is the environment in which she was trained, and paid, to do her job - she didn't. Good documentary all the same - well done to all of the men and women featured - true heroes.
  21. Then clearly you don't know Bournemouth very well. Somebody quite famously said, not so very long ago, 'everybody who comes to Bournemouth loves and feels affection for the club, be they from Arsenal or where ever - they all love it here' (or words to that effect) - honest, no joke...!
  22. Social networking sites have much to answer for, now they are even inhibiting my enjoyment of Saints FFS...!!!
  23. Wilko, I would tend to disagree about the 'graveness of punishment'. To an outsider I can appreciate that the military justice system may seem old, antiquated and behind the times, however - you have to remember it's purpose. What you should also be aware of as well is that formal disciplinary measures are not normally taken for minor, first and sometime second offences - it is repeat offences that are dealt with. Some punishments are there almost for effect, to preserve history even. Being double marched off the square and locked away for the day for a shoddy turnout is really just a stark reminder of the standards that have to be maintained. Nothing further comes of it. I would suggest that in the case of this particular young lady there was 'history', and people were losing patience. What you should remember though is that many of the 'crimes' that are dealt with by the seniors in the unit would probably be dealt with in civilian companies by sacking the person concerned. Lose your job and be on the dole or do 5 days nick, or 3 days ROP's or fined £250 quid and carry on - actually now looking at it, it appears a much better system than that in civilian street. The military system is not perfect, people do abuse it, bullying happens - but when it is implemented sensibly it, I believe, is fair.
  24. Exactly, this team needs to do that, that team needs to do this. Stop worrying about it - we could get tonked at Yeovil, so it would be bloody immaterial anyway. Sit back, enjoy...
  25. £17k, given what she asked for I guess that this is some kind of result for the 'common sense party' at last, but it is still £17k too much given the circumstances.
