  1. Yeaaaahhhhhhhhayyyyyyyyyyy get right in there.....
  2. I notice you post rarely - keep it that way eh...
  3. Nope - goals is goals - whoever scores the most wins.
  4. Gutted - not because of the result, just seeing this board degenerate back to the total negativity reminicent of the Lowe / Burley days. Has been great fun lately - lots of positivity surrounding everything at the club, one loss and it's all doom and gloom. Was really shyte to see blatent trolling all over again - thought those days were gone, whatever. Guess I'll spectate for a while - really cannot be arsed to get back into the ridiculous arguments all over again. Apparently we were on a five year plan, how one game affects that, I know not - but to play shyte and still get a point seems to be a bit of a result to me. There are lots of twists and turns to come yet - but for now I'll let you argue them out.
  5. Well if you've reached the conclusion that the season ends today - you wont be disappointed if we loose the lot from here on in then. You're aspirations have been met, there is nothing left to play for. Me - I'm just here to enjoy the ride - see where the season takes us. Win, loose or draw - life is too short - just look at that lot down the road and rejoice that you (supposedly) support the Saints.
  6. There appears to only be one person 'foot-stamping' here. Here let me give you a hand to get all those toys back into the pram...
  7. Go here http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=19774 it will ease your angst..!
  8. Err after having given it a great deal of thought - no.
  9. Personally I think that the honour of submitting the 10,000th (thats more pounds than Pompey have btw) post should be left to the OP. FF started this, oh so many moons ago, and it is only right and proper that he be allowed to take the glorious milestone that is 10,000...!
  10. Can't see that happening as we would effectively have been knocked out of the cup, more likely to leave them in the hat and give whoever draws them a bye. Personally I can't see any of it happening - I think they will survive.
  11. Great post - should be an 'eye opener' for some - but suspect that many will still want good old 'instant success'.
  12. Apparently the sign of a good team is you play badly but still win - I dunno - just what people tell me...

Top, top story, insperational stuff - well done Mrs H.
  14. Yes, spending big does make a difference, but it doesn't make a big difference.
  15. I see what you mean and who knows, perhaps someday all the variables will be of a similar value in order to put the argument to bed forever. You have a whole lot of improving to do in order to achieve that though! As for the 'curves' - irrespective of each clubs current league status, there is no way in the world that I would want to swap curves with Pompey as they are heading in vastley different directions - I doubt that any other SFC fan would either.
  16. Did we lose tonight...?
  17. No chips here PES - I would concede that your lot can make a hell of a noise and make FP pretty intimidating. That said, I think to a certain degree the likes of John Westwood do little to actually help the situation. Football has moved on - it is family orientated business - it has a brand. I have never met JW, but personally to me - he portrays an almost thuggish brand - one that we left in the 80's - he does nothing to promote your club. I may have got that wrong - but it is certainly my perception. I understand that fans are fickle - we have debated long and hard here during our own problems as to whether the fans are partially to blame for the downfall of the club. The JCL's stay away, Man U turn up for a cup game and SMS is full to the rafters again - thats fickle for you. It is a difficult situation, but a potential investor will look at the club like a business - how many customers do I have - how much will it generate. At the moment the business is patently not generating enough to run as a going concern, therefore it needs more regular customers. I understand what your saying about the product being crap - but the product will only get better if the income levels increase. If the worst of the worst happens, and you do get wound up and cease to exist (which I really don't think will happen - but a posibility) - how will those stay away fans feel then?
  18. Surely though attendances are paramount to you in your current predicament. I would imagine that money raised from your STH is long since gone - therefore your walk up support is the only gate monies coming into the club at the moment. I believe that you need all the funds you can get right now. It is actually more important though, that you show any potential investors that the fans are still behind the club, and that they will support them should they wish to mount a takeover bid. It would be a far better endorsement of your fanbase than having John Westwood dressed in his clown suit on SSN shouting at potential investors to come and save you. I have heard more than one commentator recently make comment on the number of empty seats at FP - therefore as you can see, not only is it important, but others outside of the SO postcode do give a damn - perhaps it is time that your JCL did the same.
  19. If thats from somebody who was there then I'm more than happy with the point. Then again, I'm a happyclapper anyway.
  20. 3 - 1 is relatively easy.
  21. Errr call me stupid - but I cannot answer Q3 - it's just a blank drop down and I can't type anything into it - help...! Edit - sussed it - refreshed page and the Q3 players loaded - geeze I'm getting good at this tinternet thingymajig stuff..!
  22. Gotta feel for them and hope they find their very own ML to get them out. Are they a better prospect than the skates for any potential investor(s) - methinks they have more going for them, but I may be mistaken.
  23. Lets face it, half an ounce of semtex would do the job on FP - it don't take a nuclear strike to level a tin shack now, does it...!
  24. Would you? Would you sell a multi-million pound commodity to a buyer whose credit history has been splashed all over the national press for the past 9 months and whose ownership, at best, is questionable. I wouldn't.
  25. Agree totally. The embargo was not designed to just protect Pompey - it was there to protect all other clubs as well. They (other clubs) will now tread carefully before trading with PFC, especially in a selling capacity. Without further substantial investment - they are still in deep do do as far as I can see.
