No, really, stuff me - if you hadn't pointed that out I could have missed it...!!!
-
Yeah - but on the other hand, once he has built us a nice new shiny one, do you know of anybody who would like to buy a relatively new, state of the art stadium per chance...?
-
Perhaps the terms of the loan contracts do not make it viable to return them - PFC maybe duty bound to pay them irrespective because the loan period would have been agreed between the two clubs. The lending club would have factored in the loss of the players service for a pre-determined time and could argue that they do not want the player returned until the end of the contract period. Not sure of the legalities of this, just me 'thinking out loud', but may explain why the players have not already been returned.
-
Well if he built us a new one, I know somebody that would probably be interested in a second hand nice shiny stadium...!
-
Perhaps, not too far away, he has just found a buyer for our 'old' stadium.
-
Thanks mate - in your opinion, what is the most likely end result?
-
This is as I understand it as well - could somebody (Weston Saint) perhaps confirm where they currently stand. Have HMRC simply accepted that their is no conflict of interest between the appointed administrator and the club, but will continue look to recoup the outstanding monies owed through the courts? Or has the whole case been dropped? Sorry I'm a little confused as they were 'toast' yesterday but appear to have a 'get out of jail' card today.

Hey congratulations Pancake - will you be doing a 'Big Mod, Little Mod' routine on here anytime soon...?
-
Happy clappy here - never really expected promotion this year. Enjoying having a stable, forward thinking club on the up, and winning more than we lose. Expect another season of much the same - would like to keep the squad together for next year and see where that takes us. If we aren't there or thereabouts come the end of next season, then perhaps it's time for change. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

But that's exactly the point - we can. You don't get it do you - I suggest you read Phils post of a couple of days ago, which highlights the basics. (Cant be assed to go find it now). HMRC have had enough of trying through fair means to get you to pay your dues - you owe them millions, however you have no money to pay because it has all been spent on players and player wages. You should not have players that you cannot afford. A high court judge has said that she suspects that you have been trading whilst insolvent - you have been living beyond your means - you have been playing players that you cannot afford. That is toutamont to cheating. Therefore, once again you have bought the cup with money that should have gone elsewhere. Had you payed your debts and taxes, you would not have the playing staff that you currently do, ergo you probably would not have achieved the results that you have. Personally I couldn't give a stuff about you knocking us out of the cup - unlikely that we were going to win it anyway. However, the likes of Birmingham who might have a better chance of success could feel very agrieved about the situation. I sincerely hope you go on to win the cup - won by a club that has lied, cheated and decieved it's fans, the FA, HMCR and the Courts. Let's all celebrate the fact that the Premier Leagues Flagship Trophy competition was won by a team cheating their way through both Cup and League games. S P O R T - good init.

But a masterful attempt at bypassing the forum swear filter - which worked I would have you know...!
-
He's not knocking the Saints. He's knocking the mongs that rose to the mongs - they had just as well of joined forces to be honest - they are not wanted by 99% of football supporters (fans). Now, while I go get my Horlicks why don't you grow a pair of Bolicks, eh?

Couldn't agree more. Don't really know what point GM was trying to make, but if he has any mates on here that knows where he lives then I would ask them to visit him soon - it is he that needs help. As I posted on the Wembley Travel Arrangements thread: Son phoned - Dad I've got you tickets for Wembley, yeaaaaaahhhhhhhhh good lad...! Aaaahhh but it clashes with an upcoming working trip to Germany...... doooh...! Google, Google, Google... travel plans; fly Belfast - Amsterdam, drive Amsterdam - Germany - Amsterdam, fly Amsterdam - Gatwick, drive Gatwick - Southampton, train/tube Southampton - Wembley - THE GAME - tube/train Wembly - Gatwick, fly Gatwick - Amsterdam, drive Amsterdam - Germany - no sweat...!!! And some of you are struggling to get from Southampton to Wembley - c'mon guys, keep up...!!! We may not be able to make every game - but we do put the effort in to support the team when we can - I'm not claiming to be in GM's 'UberFanClub', but if I lived in England then it is very likely that I too would go to games as regularly as he. Instead of sniping at fans living abroad, perhaps he should just consider us as ambassadors of the club - spreading the word - either that or just STFU.
-
Thanks to all of those that went for posting - puts some perspective onto the board. Yorkie - you're old school mate - we need more fans like you to keep it realistic - nice one mate.
-
Were you there...
-
Thanks for that - you may have saved a few lives tonight....
-
Wouldn't disagree - but it still remains a very slim chance. If I had to lay money - I would lay against.
-
I would agree - it's all AP's fault, too slow by half, no plan b, shyte tactics on shyte pitches - time for him to go methinks.
-
You wouldn't be the first - many have been saying it for some time, big, big outside chance - but realistically it was never on. Would be interesting to see how many Saints fans put money on us making it.
-
Well if the wristslitters were going to have a field day before, they are going to be in their element now...! Shyte...

Good post, it highlights many of the points that a lot of people seem not to have grasped. HMRC did not just wake up one morning, look at the books and see that PFC owed a large chunk of money and decided, off the cuff, to collect. As you have detailed - where we (PFC - HMRC) are now is the culmination of meetings, events and agreements that have tried to rectify the outstanding amounts by agreeable means, those means have failed and bought no fruition to the Taxman. HMRC have tried to go about their business reasonable, unfortunately PFC were unresponsive and now the courts are involved - there is no bullying here.
-
There, see - all of you doubters on here, PFC do have a prayer...!!!
-
Well you could do rice, but I would then throw a load of curry powder, onions and chillies into the casserole...!
-
Definately not rice, no way, not with casserole, rice is not a good idea, curry yes, casserole no - no rice, get it. Carrots maybe though - HTH.
