That is all very well, but imagine having to sit in 'poo soiled pants' for 30 minutes before you were finally allowed to stand and disembark... yikes...!
-
I've said it once and I'll say it again, the only thing that he should be arrested and flogged for is the fact that he missed touch FFS. A man of Matts ability and he couldn't find touch - doesn't bear thinking about...!
-
Don't know if it has been covered already here because apart from the OP I can't really be bothered to read the 'off topic' stuff, but would be really interested to know if anybody asked Matt if he had considered getting back into football in any sort of managerial role and what his reply was, if indeed the question was posed.
-
That would stand to reason - he hasn't got the legs to get any further forward...!
-
I'm still looking out for that good old news story that our good friend CorpHo said was imminent - not seen anything positive yet. Or did I just blink and miss it...?
-
Good read - made me raise a smile even in defeat. Loved the 'burst through a Rupert Lowe’s ego sized gap in our central midfield' line - journolistic (sp) class..!

Always said that he would fail with Scotland - just never thought it would be so spectacularly. His record there is totally abysmal - tried to play attacking football yet failed to score in so many games. That said, is he the poorest manager that ever walked the earth (as some here would seem to like to think) - I don't know. Some managers thrive at some clubs and dive at others, so it's hard to tell. My best mate is a Coventry fan, mention WGS to him and he will tell you that he is the devil in disguise, whilst most on here would have him in the 'god and can walk on water' category - so who is correct - I know not. Personally I hope GB gets another shot somewhere - no matter what people say, Scotland will always struggle to qualify for any major tournaments, as will the likes of Wales and NI, so he was always onto a hiding to nothing really. Perhaps it is time to start a minor nations world cup competition to allow such teams to compete at a level where the playing field is as such - food for thought maybe?

Decent all round performance to be honest. Pretty much the whole team played upto par and put in a good shift. Shame about conceding in the last minute though - concentration has to be high throughout. That said - as somebody else has said Charlton weren't that great to be fair and how they are 2nd in the league is beyond me. Mind you, if that's the standard that we have to catch - then lets go for it.

You'll forgive me for not watching all of the associated links, but just the one that you posted was far too much excitment for me...! Anybody know how I can get a ticket for next years 'must not miss' event...?

Bristol Rovers 2- 3 Saints - You Tube of saints goals here
Micky replied to Baj's topic in The Saints
If it's the Orange service text 'southampton goals off' to 177 or you can call them on 277 - I think...! -
Phew too...!
-
First time I've seen him - but Antonio is no slouch is he eh...!
-
On the pitch or off the pitch...?
-
Radical as **** - but I totally agree.
-
Why on earth would anybody on here be remotely interested in a betting scandal though..?
-
On that point I agree with you - it probably would be the final nail in the relegation coffin. The thing is though - I don't think a points deduction will happen either. For some reason that I cannot fathom, up to now there seems to have been no end of people, banks, institutions who appear to have been happy to throw them a few (million) quid as they have lurched through this. The only 'attraction' that I can see about PFC at the moment is the fact that they have Premiership status - after that they are pretty much a bargain basement investment opportunity. That said - it would appear that thier current status is indeed enough to have people falling over themselves to loan them money to get by. I also wonder if the FA would step in to assist (ala WHU?) as I don't actually think that it would be in their best interest to have one of their members going into administration. But as I said before - the Premiership is littered with poor teams now. Given their start PFC should have been cut adrift from the rest of the strugglers - but although they are still bottom, they are more than in with a chance of survival. I think that if they get out of the bottom 3 (which is not unlikely) it will be a massive boost to the players and they will go on from there. Mind you, as you have said - administration leading to a nine point deduction would almost certainly see them relegated.
-
Likewise - and because I have been with them for so long I have a contract rate which no longer exists and will not be beaten by other providers (or Orange themselves for that matter). I often get cold called by 3rd party providers touting for business and none can match my current contract. On the very few occasions that I have called Orange CS, they have been fine - no problems whatsoever. Occasional coverage problems yes, but as somebody who works in telecomms, I know that all providers have similar problems.
-
No beating about the bush there then - although I totally disagree with the sentiment(s) of the post entirely. Contrary to being no more very soon, I actually think that they will get out of the mess that they are in and they will survive in the Premier League as well. There are probably a whole host of Premiership Managers who have been very happy for Pompey to take the heat in the first two months of the season. Because of thier start, no points in 7 games, Paul Harte took all of the media shyte, whilst other managers got away with it. Looking at the table now though - there are some woeful sides in the Premier League who have hardly made any better starts in reality. The likes of Hull, Blackburn etc have not 'cashed in' on Pompeys dismal performances so far. Given the poor sides in the Prem and the fact that one 'dark horse' (NUFC last year) will also normally fall into the mix (WHU maybe) - I think that the Blue Few will be ok. So bad is the Premier League another 6 points and they woud be mid table...! So whilst they lurch from one disaster to another, which I fully enjoy watching, I really don't think that they will cease to exist in the very near future, I really don't. Rivalry yes, but outright hatred - lifes too short - I'll pass if you don't mind.

Both are scum, both should be erased from the face of the planet.

Exactly - hence I would be more than a little disappointed if he was give a chance to ply his trade at SFC once released. Why should our clubs customers be the one that pays his over exorbinate fees, which in turn appears to fuel his total disregard for anybody who he feels is 'not in his league'. Thanks, but no thanks. All of that said - somebody, somewhere will give him a chance I feel. So fickle are we, and so disregarding of others misfortune, there will be a club who see the chance of getting him on the cheap who will jump at the chance. Don't forget - he will probably be out in time for the start of next season, so I'll wager he's playing somewhere.
-
I think in such cases, most rationale people would agree that what he did was very, very wrong - however, he does deserve a second chance. The question is though, once released, will this be his second chance, or is it his third, perhaps fourth, maybe fifth...? Just how much slack do you want to cut a guy huh...?

That part was always due for review. In light of thier current financial footing I believe they have come up with a cunning plan in that, they are going to do it the other way around and build a rubbish tip on top of the current stadium. Genius..!

No - I got the gist of it from here: http://boards.footymad.net/forum.php?tno=424&fid=203&sty=2&act=1&mid=2124071014 ... they ain't happy, are they eh...?
