Bertie no smile (during games) - bad attitude....

As somebody who was at West Brom and at Wembley I have probably seen the best and the worst of him. Over the course of the games that I have seen him in, he is probably a median of those two games to be honest. Quite surprised that United are taking an interest to be honest, but if they can get him playing at the top end of his game consistently anything around the 20 million mark would be good business for them. Shame that he wants to move on, I was a fan, but I wish him no ill will, and it seems to be mutually agreed within the club as well.

But where is the FA funded from? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for equality and the rest of it, but earn it on your own merit. I hope woman's football is a raging success, but currently I see things in the press where the ladies are saying that they want equal pay, and again that's fine. But the ladies need to generate the funds themselves in order to warrant these payments and make their own game self sufficient in its own right.

It may be underfunded, but what's it underfunded in relation to. As far as I am concerned, woman's football should be funded by woman's football and not off the back of the men's game. I have no problem with women being paid in line with men if that's what their game is generating - none at all. Unfortunately though, when I watch the games I see swathes of empty seats, I see a little coverage on TV, but nothing in the pay per view arena, so I fail to see, at this point in time, how funds are being generated to put it in line with the men's game.

Good call, I wager you'll be diggin' that quote out in 12 - 18 months time.

Cheers Whitey - I did that a couple of days ago though (post #25), cleared the cache, deleted the data, deleted the app in the end and reinstalled - but non of that worked. Thanks Fatboy, I'll have a wade through when I get time. I know there are other options for viewing this, but I want to try to stay with Tapatalk if possible because it's much easier to view this on a tablet, and I use Tapatalk for the other forums that I frequent as well.

Shame to lose him, but if we get decent coin then it's sense to move him on. Is 'better project' young persons speak for 'bigger club'? Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk

Thanks for that workaround. Still not ideal but better than it was after the "up"grade. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk

I have the same Tapatalk issue as Toadhall Steve - have logged out and back in but still shows the same threads as unread. Edit: Scratch that it appears to be ok now. I was also logged in on my main PC when I first tried it, but having logged out on both and rebooted Tapatalk it appears to have rectified the problem. Thanks. Edit 2: Actually - it appears not to be fixed now, PC browser is ok but Tapatalk not keeping up with threads that have been read - got some gremlins somewhere. Edit 3: Definitely an issue with Tapatalk - have deleted the cache, no change. Deleted the data, no change. Uninstalled and reinstalled - no change. I have Tapatalk running on two separate devices (both android) and the same problem is evident. But for now - I'm off to bed...!

Will do Steve, many thanks. Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk

It's not quite as simple as that though is it? He may not wish to 'negotiate'. Irrespective of anything else, he is probably very happy with the contract he currently has. How do you know we can't afford to pay him 60k a week. If that's what we agreed, then we must have the means to pay it. We can't afford not to keep him if he needs help. If we abandon him now, where do you think it will ultimately end up? There will not be a queue of clubs waiting to take on the player given all the variables in play here.

I have exactly the same Faz, but sky is scalable to what i watch. The bbc should be even more so scalable. I should add that i can also phone up and negotiate my deal with sky. Have you ever tried to do that with the bbc? Sent from my SM-T590 using Tapatalk
