  1. It’s a central defender
  2. OK - this is mega obscure..... In recent times, we have moved away from the good old fashioned numbers 1 to 11, with higher and higher (often random) numbers being assigned to the squad. So, often the keeper isn't No.1, maybe the No.2 is injured etc and the lowest number in the starting is No.3 or higher. In Saints's history, in our starting XI, what has been the highest number on the back of the player's shirt and that player has still been the lowest number of all the Saints players in the starting line up? What was the number and who wore it?
  3. Think I beat Colin by a few seconds there?
  4. Actually, I think it's Antonio in our defeat at West Ham
  5. David Prutton?
  6. Once? Luton away 6-0 in a replay? Le Tiss hatrick? Not sure on others.
  7. You're right that the constitution is largely written, it's better described as uncodified than unwritten. The precedent would be for the Queen to select a nominated/accepted deputy (but the Tories don't elect a deputy in the same way as Labour). As Dom Raab is First Secretary , he is likely to be appointed if necessary - rather than just being interim. This assumes the Cabinet signals support for that. The 1992 committee could trigger a leadership election, but I think it unlikely they'd do so in current circumstances - possibly later down the line if the current PM doesn't return to health (or worse).
  8. Under what circumstances do they finish it behind closed doors (but on TV)?
  9. Most teams have 9 matches left? Although far from ideal, I guess this could just about be squeezed into a 3-4 week window if Euro 2020 is cancelled. Those logistics aren't too bad. You might even truncate it if some matches become irrelevant for anythign meaningful beyond actual finishing position (e.g. Saints v Sheff Utd might well be a dead rubber, in which case don't play it). Problem could well be the logisitics in arranging this, not the will. If UK is basically locked down for a couple of months, how bad is the deterioation of pitches, how unfit are the players, how fast can they gear up ticketing, stadium safety etc? The June 30th contracts ending for some players is also a legal minefield - might teams with somethign to play for sign a ringer just for a month etc?
  10. Disappointing, but ending up 14th-ish with a safe gap to the drop zone would still mark a big improvement on the last two seasons,
  11. Hmmm...not good.
  12. Annoying
  13. I think we are probably staying up, all things considered.
  14. Presumably his salary is being mitigated by being on loan. We definitely need to see him as a liability on the books, not an asset. However, we still have the right to put him in the U23s for the rest of his contract if we want to, right?
  15. You can now get 225/1 on us going down. For anyone who wants to make a "saver" bet. HTH.
  16. 25 attempts on goal...gees....
  17. We are now about 33/1 to go down. It could happen. But it would be the worst collapse imaginable - even by our standards. Someone said earlier "yeah, but Leicester were 5,000/1 to win the Premier League" That's true, but they weren't 5,000/1 with 12 games to go.
  18. bloody annoying...we had that
  19. I think 9 points from this batch, which woudl basically leave us safe from relegartion barring a statistical fluke
  20. Wanted the skates, was only 2/1 aginst when we come out at home. Ah well, not a bad draw if we can somehow get past Spurs
  21. How do new chants actullay start?
  22. And we are better away from home, right? ;-)
  23. Not sure why Zaha wasnt sent off for poking JWP's eye. VAR apparently didnt have a view? Great win
  24. Out as far as 28/1 following today's defeats for Villa and Bournemouth
