I said when we signed him he looked like he was going to be a frustrating player who would be great one week and poor the next. It looks like he is starting to get a bit of consistency now, I would go as far as saying he could be one of the top 10 best players in the PL this season. The stupid thing is, last week at West Brom we say the defence looks solid, but we were toothless in attack. It was the opposite against utd. I have no doubt once both click we will start winning games. Koeman playing Yoshida at RB was just suicidal, he cannot play there, but you can't blame him for being picked in that position. Yeah pretty much spot on. We will be fine this season, we all got a bit over excited last year so let's not get too down now. I really think once Bertrand and Clasie will improve our side a lot. Yoshida at RB is the worst decision Ron has made since he took over. Strange game, we were great for 30 mins, then just decided to give the game away. I think we will get going eventually, we simply have to forget about last season and be realistic about where we are at right now. We desparately need Bertrand back. I never said it did, and I never said I expected anything different. I fully expected us to be around 10-12th this season. That would be no disgrace. The league is far more competitive this season.As I have said many times, last season we played to our full potential in most games. It's just not possible to maintain that for another season. Last season will be our only opportunity to try and break the glass ceiling and break into the top 6. And as we saw, it is nearly impossible to do. We did a lot of the hard work but ran out of steam. I think Swansea may challenge this year.

Theres only a few teams that look worse than us this year, it's very much looking like mid-table this season. As we know though, finishing 8th-17th makes little difference. Just featured Fonte's instagram post on SSN, Fonte is apparently now at Liverpool according to the presenter. Easy mistake to make I guess. Hope he has a speedy recovery though, you wouldn't wish an injury like that on anyone. Such bad timing as Shaw was just starting to regain some of the form he showed when he was with us. Yes, quite a few teams will be finishing above us this year. Got to hope for a decent cup run this year, theres nothing to really play for in the league, which is very disappointing. We should start picking up a few points once Bertrand and Clasie return, but the likes of Swansea, Leicester, West Ham and Palace are all looking much stronger; the league is a lot more competitive this season. Decent result, WBA were shocking and we really should have taken advantage of that. We cannot afford to keep playing JWP and Davis in the same team.Van Dijk looks class. The goals will come enventually, but it's clear already we won't be improving on last season, but that's understandable. We really need Clasie and Betrand back, then we will have a strong first 11. It's not definite, but they are very confident of getting it over the line.And I am not obessesed with Spurs, I don't really care for them, but when it's involving Saints players then I'm interested. Did Pulis not say Berahino may still leave? It's all well and good keeping him, but imo the lad has a bad attitude anyway, I respect how WBA have handled it. But realistically, is he going to perform to his best abilities if he stays? I think they may still sell, but it would make him learn a lesson by letting him rot in the reserves. It never seems to get mentioned, but with cases like Wanyama, it must have a negative impact on squad morale. In my mind he's essentially putting down his own teammates and believing he is better than them. It surely must impact their opinions on him. However, I think we do let our players go too easily.I would love Les -Reed to fully explain how he thinks our transfer strategy will lead us to the Champions League. It's simply not sustainable. If we're going to continue operating like we do, Les needs to cut out the bull****. We're a well run business, but in footballing terms nothing more than a stepping stone. It's just arrogance on his part, I don't think he's done enough (yet) to justify a move to a bigger club. At least unlike Morgan, he is replaceable. The only slight issue is whether we will get a replacement in on time as the deal with Spurs isn't happening until Monday at the earliest. We've tried and failed. That's pretty much it. Still, what a journey it has been over the last 6 years. It had to end sometime. It's only becoming more difficult to break the glass ceiling and get into the top 6. We gave it a phenomenal effort last season and it's hard to see another team coming close in the next few seasons. Spot on. Even a win will feel like a loss in a way as it won't mean a lot. I don't think I've felt so gutted at losing a game in 10 years. Last night was massive and it felt like we didn't give a **** about it. It's hard to be enthusiastic about about the season ahead, it's ended before it's started. I'm just not sure how we will pick ourselves up from this. I usually support Les Reed but our transfer business has been questionable so far this summer. And as for being a 'showcase' club, what exactly were we showcasing last night????????? One thing is for sure, the aim of getting Champions League football won't be happening for this club anytime soon. The only slight positive is in the next few weeks our starting 11 will look a lot stronger than last night's line up. Think a few will be happy. Personally, I was really looking forward to the Europa League, a lot more than the PL. I honestly never thought we would crash out at this stage. I feel sick, tonight was an absolute embarassment. There was nothing tonight, absolutely nothing. We are a shadow of the team from last season, which is quite incredible. Koeman seems to have lost the plot and we have lost our spark. I don't think the transfer window will save us now. I'd be surprised if we sign a striker which we desparately need. **** knows where we found Martina from, he's clearly not a footballer. As for Ward-Prowse, I will reiterate again he is Championship standard at best, I don't give a **** how many appearances he has made or how many goals he has for England under-21s. It pains me to say it but now really is the time for a meltdown, and it could be a whole lot worse this time next season.
