Burnley are hardworking, but like so many teams that come up from the Championship, just lacking quality and that cutting edge. We were very comfortable in the end. Really feel for Pelle though, just won't go in for him.
-
Kelvin actually played really well, we'd all be praising Forster for making those saves. Bit dodgy when the ball is passed back to him, we need to try and cut that out. We certainly need a half decent back up keeper for next season though, there will be a lot of games with the europa league as well
-
Could turn out to be a good day for us if Leicester can hold out for a result
-
Good half to watch, but Burnley looking dangerous. Pelle desperately needs a goal though. Davis has looked solid enough, he needs to be though if we're to have a decent finish to the season.

Agreed

Got a good feeling about today. Burnley are a hardworking and well organised team, but our confidence is back and we are due some goals. Can't see anything other than a 4-1 Saints win.
-
They seem to be getting a lot of praise for a team who bottled the title last season and are now fifth. A win for us today and I will be hoping for a draw at Anfield tomorrow. They still have to go to Chelsea and Arsenal
-
True, after last season I'm sure Les Reed and co have everything planned out and have taken into consideration. Everyone should be prepared this season, so there shouldn't be a meltdown on here like there was last summer. I think Morgan, Clyne and Toby will certainly leave, but wouldn't be so sure about the others. Either way, we will need to bring in another 6 or 7 players if we are to cope with the demands of the PL and the Europa league.

Could be good for us, an opportunity to rip off another club.
-
Really hope Utd beat them on sunday. Then they still have to go to Arsenal and Chelsea. They will do well to finish in the top four.
-
We don't want to entering at qualifying stage. I think 5 more wins (with one of those being against Spurs) will be enough for 6th
-
I ****ing hate Liverpool. Oh well, at least we still have a good chance of finishing above Spurs. I'd be more than happy with that. It was obvious the bigger sides would get better as the season went on. As long as we win a few more and get 60+ plus points it will have been a successful campaign. Quite looking forward to the Europa League draw already!

Looks like they will nick it. Swansea have played really well but not taken their chances.

Remember that well, incredible to think how **** we were back then. Those pens were in the first 15 mins as well, I recall. We've been rather lucky to have had 2 of the best penalty takers in this era at our club. Tadic doesnt inspire much confidence. Talking of pens, we are still the only team yet to concede one so we have certainly been lucky with that. Fonte on Aguero, his handball at Newcastle and Targett against Chelsea spring to mind. To be fair Tadic did clip Ivanovic, who went over too theatrically. Ref should have booked him if its not a pen. I have noticed refs seems to be more wary of awarding them to some of the bigger sides these days, probably due to the influence of cheating players like Suarez on our game. Zabaleta's on sarturday was a stonewall pen, sure it would have been given a few years ago.

Adkins on SSN this morning talking Saints and UCL/PL title

Top man, and a good manager who deserves another crack with a PL side -
Playing so well, but have to make it count while we're on top. That game of ice hockey seems to have worked wonders

The criticism of Long in here is unjustified. He's had very few opportunities or starts, and always made a positive impact. He's been a victim of an over inflated transfer fee. Big, big chance for him today
-
Exactly, their only real weakness is pace. We're back at full strength defensively; frustrate them for long enough and we might just nick this
-
Good call from Roko. Strong line up, I like it a lot. COYR!
-
Yes, can't see either catching us now. Got a good feeling about today.
-
I'll worry about us getting a positive result before thinking about what others are doing. The only way we will finish in a good position is by winning our own games.
-
Just got a feeling this will be 0-0, which will be a decent result.
-
Since they won their first title, they've never really pushed on, especially in Europe. Pellegrini will surely be gone soon.
-
A hindrance? Ridiculous attitude, the Europa League is still a decent competition. What are people expecting. We're not a Champions League club yet. I guess a few will moan about the fixture pile up next season. Personally, I can't wait to see who we draw in the group stages
-
Yes there's no way they deserve a top 4 spot, think it will be Arsenal and Liverpool. Van Gaal getting away without too much criticism because of his reputation. Don't they have Spurs and Liverpool in their next two games?
