Jan will be an interesting month as to whether we get new personal in. The one thing that I found surprising about his appointment was we brought someone in who didn't want to play the Southampton way, and have changed our style. Redmond was brought for example to fit our style, but Puel then told him we don't play with wingers so you'll need to learn to play as a forward.

So frustrating to watch, plenty of the ball but no troubling them in the attacking third. Boufal looks good with the ball but nobody goes to help him and then tries to beat 2 or 3 players each time. So many times we had just one in the box. Worrying for me is the way we are playing and how poor we are up front.

gylfi sigurdsson went back to Swansea after not cutting it at spurs and doing ok. Don't see why he wouldn't. What can WBA or Everton offer that we can't? Luiz went back to Chelsea too....

Is Morgan better than our current centre mids? Yes, therefore we should be looking at signing to improve our team. Yes a forward is needed but if players who would improve your team become available you should look to improve there too.

Him and Romeu in the middle would be amazing for us. Better than an other combo we have therefore would be mad not to try and get back.

Why? His goals to game ratio is about 1 in 5. Need better than that.

I think we have failed this year in that we lost so much from Pelle and Mane and they simply haven't been replaced to a good enough level, Boufal might be ok once settled in but we really lack the Pelle replacement or a danger from the bench. Too much is being asked from Austin and a very out of form Long. Redmond was brought in to suit Koeman's style of play and now Puel doesn't play that way we are trying to make him something he's not (a striker).

Exactly, don't see what all the fuss is about. We aren't mufc, £80k players would need to be our main forward not a 34/35yr old watching from the side

His current deal takes him to just short of 35th Birthday. Why would the club offer him a longer deal? So he can earn £80k pw! watching from the stands as we have already replaced him and he isn't looking at leaving due to the high wage??

Austin and Fonte won't play. Yoshida and Long will though.

I thought the midfield 3 of OR / PEH / JWP performed well together yesterday, both JWP and PEH had a few chances on another day could have scored. Think i'd start with that 3 against Palace..
