Did anyone else not like Oscar Pistorius before the Olympics/Paralympics? I've never found him endearing personally and felt a bit vindicated when he whinged about being beaten this year. And now this. Hmmm.
-
Fair play to Watford and Mick McCarthy with his comments. Typical bitter diatribe from Ian Holloway.
-
That is horrific... is Allen doing the night shift again?
-
Whilst I don't agree with everything NC does, moving away from doing things like that is a huge leap in the right direction. That was utterly criiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinge (though some might level at me that my Adkins tribute was, too). Meh. Great memories of that era but parties at Weston Shore with a load of kids and oddballs singing football songs? Erm, nah you're alright!
-
More like 8,000. Lying again
-
Listening to the game.... You can hear the players shouting. Is it behind closed doors? No joke, no one is singing. This can't be the bestest, surely
-
I like Adam but he's totally missing the point. Again.

That's why they're the bestest. Such passion.

Good morning nutjobbers! I wonder what belly full of laughs our friends will provide today!

Successful Tackles per Game, We top the League
Crab Lungs replied to Saint Without a Halo's topic in The Saints
To do that, we have to match their ambitions I suspect. Europe, here we come! -
We've seem them all now... so what do we think of our opponents?

It's changed now, Swansea had exactly the same attributes as Sunderland above them... whoops. Going to read through again, just to make sure next time! -

I wouldn't swap our midfield for almost any of the other Prem sides midfield's. -
With a bit of luck, we'll get an Azeri team if we qualify. Always wanted to go to Baku.

Lol, complete refusal to credit our victory, most say we've spent £80m on transfers, that we're "plucky"... according to them, we've got lucky for all our points this year... one of the ones who compliments us got questioned on his loyalty to Portsmouth (and, seemingly, accused of not knowing anything about football because he gave us a compliment). In other news, we'll never be in the same league as them as fans, we're fickle and apparently, "what goes around, comes around". Lol, don't we just know that!

Just reading it now. Inaccurate, and very bitter.

We've played attractive, attacking football all-season and with MP's appointment, early indications are that we're continuing in the same vain but with more pressing. Aside from us though, who else plays good football that you enjoy watching? Conversely, what teams are absolute turd. Here's my opinions, FWIW; Arsenal Style: Passing, attractive football. Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Fortunate enough to be blessed with both. Physicality: 4/10 Organisation: 6/10 Attractiveness: 8/10 Aston Villa Style: Disorganised hoofball with smatterings of passing. Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Teamwork. And Benteke. Physicality: 5/10 Organisation: 3/10 Attractiveness: 5/10 Chelsea Style: Attacking, over-organised football with players typically confused by Benitez's ****wittery. Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Teamwork. Physicality: 6/10 Organisation: 6/10 Attractiveness: 7/10 Everton Style: Attacking, direct physical football. Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Teamwork with a dash of Fellaini and Baines. Physicality: 8/10 Organisation: 9/10 Attractiveness: 7/10 Fulham Style: Passing, open football with an emphasis on using wingers. Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Teamwork. Physicality: 6/10 Organisation: 6/10 Attractiveness: 7/10 Liverpool Style: Tika-taka or "give it to Suarez". Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Teamwork mainly, but there is a tendency to rely heavily on Suarez. Physicality: 6/10 Organisation: 8/10 Attractiveness: 6/10 Man City Style: Disorganised, throw 11 players together and hope it works. Individual brilliance carries them through most days but if someone with a 1/100 of nous was in Mancini's position, they'd have had the title wrapped up already. Despite the stars they've got, I found them utterly boring to watch. Team Work or Individual Brilliance: No pattern of play, it's almost entirely individual brilliance that sees them through. Physicality: 8/10 Organisation: 3/10 Attractiveness: 5/10 Man Utd Style: Attacking, pressing football. Can switch from passing to direct comfortably. Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Teamwork, but have enough good players to change a game. Physicality: 7/10 Organisation: 8/10 Attractiveness: 7/10 QPR Style: "Throw a smorgasbord (no, sorry, family-sized platter) of mercenaries together and hopefully we'll be ok". Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Teamwork, but have enough good players to change a game. Physicality: 8/10 Organisation: 3/10 Attractiveness: 3/10 Reading Style: Irritating, counter-attacking smash 'n' grab with a lot of heart and guts. Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Teamwork. Physicality: 6/10 Organisation: 7/10 Attractiveness: 7/10 Stoke City Style: Direct, physical approach in attempt to cower the opposition. That, and wingplay, depending on the team. When they want to keep it tight, they go with 3/4 centrebacks, 3/4 central midfielders in a 4-4-2. Against "lesser sides", fullbacks and wingers are utilised. Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Teamwork. Physicality: 9/10 Organisation: 9/10 Attractiveness: 6/10 Sunderland Style: Mixed style, though have a reliance of Sessengon and Fletcher. Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Teamwork. Physicality: 8/10 Organisation: 7/10 Attractiveness: 5/10 Swansea Style: Not so much tika-taka anymore but a balanced, passing approach. Laudrup has made them a far more solid outfit. Less fannying around, more penetrative. Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Teamwork. Physicality: 6/10 Organisation: 7/10 Attractiveness: 8/10 Spurs Style: Still can't work them out. Pleased AVB's having a good season but for me he's got a touch of Mancini about him, relying on his talisman(s) to pull the team through. I can't see any real pattern of play. Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Gareth Bale, then a good serving of teamwork to go alongside it. Physicality: 6/10 Organisation: 7/10 Attractiveness: 7/10 WBA Style: Mixed, with pressing, defending from the front. Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Teamwork. Physicality: 8/10 Organisation: 7/10 Attractiveness: 7/10 WHU Style: A predominantly direct style with smatterings of passing. Jarvis has added an extra dimension/width. Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Teamwork. Physicality: 8/10 Organisation: 8/10 Attractiveness: 6/10 Wigan Style: There seems to be a long-held myth that they're a great passing team. I'm not totally convinced... more likely a mixed style, depending on the opposition. Team Work or Individual Brilliance: Teamwork. Physicality: 7/10 Organisation: 5/10 Attractiveness: 7/10

Yes please

Well, I think as someone said above, they were fit (I think Pochettino mentioned that when he arrived) but now they're using that fitness to better effect by being intelligent with it.
-
They're doing double sessions under the Poch now and it's beginning to show. WGS was the best I'd seen our fitness levels at, if we only had a one-goal lead I was still confident that we'd see it out and nine times out of ten, we did, comfortably.

Him and lallana are better than most current England midfielders, and have been the past 2-3 seasons. I doubt owl head will ever pick them though, still trying to pidgeon hole lampard and Gerrard into the same side like the past 5 managers.
