  1. That's a proper rallying call. No bleating or whinging about how unfair everything is - they've just been getting on with it. And then there's the DFCSB's. Horrible club.
  2. Exactly what I was thinking.
  3. Bucket rattling incoming...
  4. He's not great, but he'll always finish 1st or 2nd in a two-horse race. Mancini would finish third.
  5. What we've gained in workrate and pressing we've lost in incisiveness and latterly under Adkins Prem reign, organisation. It's long been my fear that this would happen BUT it's only six games in under MP so it's too early to judge. FWIW, I'm seeing more positives than negatives at the moment, but only just. I don't remember Adkins' teams running out of ideas that much - we always had chances in games. That QPR result was a bl00dy stinker, though. Completely unacceptable.
  6. I don't know why the media are surprised when City play sh1t. They've been playing sh1t ever since Mancini took over, with the exception of maybe 5 performances. Every other time they've relied on individual brilliance to drag them out of the brown mucky stuff, time and again. A half decent manager would have them much closer to United and probably wouldn't have bought such average rubbish like Rodwell - who is, at best, a mediocre midfielder (for mediocre, also see; Shelvey, Livermore, Henderson, Cleverley etc). I'd wager that even someone like Paul Lambert, Steve McClaren or Alex McLeish would have City much, much closer. Mancini will be found out if he has to actually coach and organise his next side, not just pick eleven players and hope for the best. Irrespective, cheers for the win tonight, City!
  7. I said we have lacked movement since mp took charge, maybe something to do with running ourselves into the ground? Anyway, I think chsplow is a fit...
  8. Very kind of you to say so (thank you) but I think I called someone a **** around a month ago. I wholly retract it, though. First time I've proper lost it since... well, since the infamous Bucket Rattlers rant
  9. I'll take a look now... "Faaaaaaaackin' scummah caaaaants, we is Pommeee, innit?" Grrr, I hate reading their rubbish.
  10. As said above, his own blog host got the typical Pompey brush off last week when he got himself (and them) in trouble. Can't say it hasn't been coming. I'm sure the frothy mouthed skates will start abusing and intimidating people about this soon...
  11. We have lost the cutting edge we had under Adkins. The blade's not as sharp any more, for all the positives of the pressing game etc.
  12. That was a ****ing disgrace. Fuming.
  13. This is an utter disgrace. Utter, utter disgrace. Draw or defeat, it's a ****ing travesty.

  15. What did he say? He does come across as a rather unpleasant character. But he's "Pompeeeee fru an' fru, ain't eeee?" Lol. Yes, that's right. Now's the right time to build the 36,000 pottydrome - just as you're levelling out at the bottom of League One. At least it'll give Puncheon something to sh1t in til 2016.
  16. Hi all I've got a friend who is selling a fully-signed Southampton home shirt from the 1995/96 season and I've been asked to advertise it on here. If you're interested, please let me know and I'll put you in touch with him. Obviously it's worth a few bob but instead of it going on eBay, it'd be good if we can find it a good home to someone on this board. Here's a pic of the shirt; If there's anyone out there interested or you might know anyone, please do let me know on here or via PM and I'll put you in touch with the seller. Thanks everyone. Ben
  17. Can't be true. What will the bestest say?
  18. "Tiny online company"....? What a tw4t.
  19. I absolutely never want this to end. It's hilarious. WTFILN
  20. Totally agree and been saying the same thing for ages. We are very lucky. Outside the top 4, there aren't many midfields that are better. Schneiderlin re signing is an indication that he believes we can or are at least trying to match his own ambitions....
  21. Ah, thanks. Great news! Especially now, like many of our players, are getting noticed...
  22. Brilliant!!! When was it due to expire? Defo a new contract? Looks like a GCSE paper
  23. I'm in on the olives, too.
  24. Had the same thing happen to me when I was on jury service. We had an uncle accused of sexual abuse and despite being a bit eccentric, the accusations didn't stack up. All the women on the jury had made their minds up due to the severity of the case and when me and a fellow juror argued that we had to be "beyond reasonable doubt" we were shouted down. It was horrendous. After hours of deliberation the judge went with the 10-2 and the blokes life - and his families - lives were ruined forever. The undecided women in the jury were bullied by 3-4 of the *****ier ones, who reasoned with them "Oh, he won't go to jail - he'll probably do some community service or something". Yes, you read that right. That was their understanding of the law. Unreal. Even during the case, the judge was steering the jury towards a "not guilty" and kept reminding us all that we had to be "beyond all reasonable doubt" . That guy is still banged up, as far as I'm aware.
