  1. The fact you're saying that we would bridge the attendance gap between us and Everton regularly.
  2. Are you really saying we're on par with Everton?
  3. I don't think he's that great to be honest. He may be in the future, but having thought about it... he's far from the complete player at the moment. Great potential though, but not enough end product... yet
  4. I think people should cut the "doom mongerers" some slack, its not as if we have previous with being regular European contenders. I can understand if we were a returning giant but we are not. We are an average to at best, large club which has taken huge leaps in the past two years. Most of us grew up knowing only top flight relegation struggles as the norm. Its all very well having aspirations but we are far closer to unravelling in the midst of a sh1tstorm than we are European contenders. It's a smattering of realism, pessimism and hope.... Not blind faith. If it happens, great. If it doesn't don't be surprised.
  5. Siiiiii, posible mi amigo... mañana mañana!
  6. MLG, hang your head in shame.
  7. We've got bids in, I think it's down to whether the selling club can be persuaded/need to accept. Usual transfer strategy.
  8. Better than 80% of Premier League midfielders in his position, as he was last season. As Lallana is too, even when we were in the NPL1 and NPC, as I said.... To me, a good player is a good player...irrespective of the "level"
  9. The players did not get Adkins the boot... They enjoyed working with him. I think that's fairly evident in the displays and results. As for the Cortese interview, carefully timed and easy to put over the "official line" when you've sewn everyone up on NDA's.
  10. In other words, Cortese is trying to "fast-track" our progress?
  11. Yup... Hopefully it's all settled down now...
  12. Wow, he thinks a helluva lot of Adkins' in the second full interview, absolutely glowing about him. Even cites a "long-term working relationship" with him.
  13. I've no idea as to the legitimacy of this article and I couldn't see it posted, but I thought I'd share it anyway... http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/3774/the-sweeper/2013/01/26/3700982/the-sweeper-shaw-agreed-new-southampton-deal-because-of?source=breakingnews&ICID=HP_HL_7
  14. Cosimo Sarli Tony Malessa Luis Boa Morte... and his brother, Bruno Leal? Stig Johansen Peter Whiston Matt Robinson Steve Basham Nicky Banger Richard Dryden Mike Evans and Richard Hall. What a centre back he was. Shame he got injured.
  15. This is quite frankly, fantastic.
  16. Ha, I used to. I prefer singles/doubles/trebles on the football now. Been far more profitable at that, but thought I'd have a play at the Financials on 365.
  17. Crab Lungs, Saint Sausage... and I'm sure I had another incarnation at one point but I was quickly rumbled by Keith's team of mods I had a record of tubgirling posts, hence the frequent banning
  18. If we added another Jap they'd surely increase the attention we get over there? Tokyo Saint, where are you?
  19. Just made another £80 today on top of the £110 yesterday. To be honest, I don't know how, so it's probably not a great idea I give advice. Anyway, to simplify it, it's a higher/lower game. You guess whether the five figure number goes higher or lower in a minuted market (I use the five minute ones). It fluctuates, the real-time odds update, and you plonk on your stake. You can "close bet" early at a profit/loss depending on how you're doing, but pretty much everything I've bet on has come in. I don't know if I'm just being lucky or I've trained myself to it (I started with 10p stakes at first to get used to it) but as you can see, I'm now massively "up". I started with a tenner. I know two people who have done this and one surpassed £2k and the other £3k yesterday! As I said, I don't know really what I'm doing, but I'm either very lucky or have a limited idea of what's going on and I'm betting safely. I don't know. It's fun though, especially when you're winning. http://www.bet365.com/extra/en/financials/
  20. Here's just a couple of little tasters. Although they weren't too keen on my WTFILN riposte; Just a taster...
  21. Well, I'm almost done collecting all the "thank you's" for Nigel, for those of you who did/didn't know about the onenigeladkins website. I thought this might be also relevant to the thread. I've got around 60 messages from the skates as well, including the comments about wishing death upon faaaaackin scummahs, making light of cancer, bestiality and general abusive/insulting remarks. Needless to say, the spelling/grammar leaves a lot to be desired. Tempted to make a book out of them, too. Would anyone like to see them before I consign them to history? I would suggest you might be surprised at the level of stupidity and outright, rabid anger, but you probably aren't. Horrible club, horrible people.

  23. Anyone else had a flutter on this madness? Made an absolute packet tonight, though I'm not basing my fiscal future on it!
  24. Tbf, few of the comments are decent but I do get the impression they realmy think they're still amazing. Just read a thread on Jordan Henderson where many of the posters believe he's one of the most technically gifted midfielders around. Um.....
