Lmfao. Rickie Lambert written off after not even half a season. Superb backing of someone who has contributed so much and additionally, has been impressive since he's stepped up to the PL. If he's been "found out" and isn't good enough for the PL, then we can safely write off at least a third of all Premier League strikers as well.

If we had 3-5 more points than we do now, it's unlikely this question would never have arisen.

In not so recent times but certainly in the past 10-15 years, James Beattie was a snip at £1m. Pahars, also.

For sheer impact in recent times, it's Lambert. The re-signing for Lallana, Schneiderlin etc as well. Defensively, the Jose Fonte signing in League One was another in recent seasons which has helped catapult us forward.

He's better than Phillips IMO. Still, off to Liverpool by the sounds of things.

Adam Lallana is a lot better than people give him credit for, and he's just getting around to proving that now. He'd fit in quite nicely in any top 4 team....

For a temporary £6-£10m gain, we could end up losing our PL status and far more. It's a "not for sale" from me. You should only sell players when it's the right time to do so - never because someone might offer a sizeable amount of money. The disruption to the team this would cause would make things quite difficult, and we'd have to put aside some time to adapt.. time we won't have if we're scrapping for PL status.

They done it to me about 8 times last season and a couple this... never reliable! Almost had a tenner on Villa at the start, just had that "funny feeling". In the end, I didn't... never mind!
