Olly Lancashire's shock tweet about Southampton Football Club
Crab Lungs replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Cortese's trigger finger must be twitching now. In fact, as Turkish has said before, he's already pulled the trigger 2-3 times before -
Right, what a crock of rubbish. The first goal (and all night), WBA's best attacks came from the flanks and having a spare man. With our fullbacks exposed, WBA could double up on either side. The remaining fullback didn't know whether to stick or twist (close the cross or watch/follow the spare overlapping man). When you're in two minds like that as a fullback, it's horrible. That's where your midfield HAVE to help. They haven't reacted quick enough and allowed them the time to pass inside. Can't legislate a deflected goal but Fox is not at fault for that. With the second goal, Fox could have done better. He wasn't goal side but he wasn't the only one lagging behind the play. WBA had two players ahead of our own when the cross came in and that isn't good enough. However, more should have been done to STOP the cross in the first place. Pro-active, not reactive defending.

You're not the full ticket, are you?
-
Haha. Quite. I don't think he'll be securing any coaching qualifications soon.
-
Have you ever played football before?
-
Fullbacks can't do a lot if they're not offered protection.
-
Surprise, we concede the wings again. No doubling up. Freedom for WBA to do as they please. Been saying it for 'kin ages. It is tactics, pure and simple.

I'm all over the 8-5's so will have to be an evening, will want to get at least 10 from here though so if interested, please do post here!
-
Ok, will try start something up this week.... Maybe a smaller db too
-
Um, honestly, unsure! .... someone on here might be able to explain better, but it's pretty simple when it gets going...
-
Winner of the overall game wins one of Miles Jacobsen's unwashed t-shirts btw
-
Bored to hell so was wondering if anyone was interested? I'll set it all up, will probably have the major leagues, maybe 75,000 players in the DB (I hate small game, I normally run 250,000+!) .... Will probably start it tonight...

Gotta be Pompey for me. They've given me so many laughs in recent years.
-
This. Again. It's imperative to consolidate to keep our best players, just as it was imperative to go up last year to keep ahold of them as well. Besides, more money gets pumped into the PL next year and it'll be nice to be a part of it.

100% correct. Typical of the mongy Saints fans.

Harry Redknapp to be named manager within 3 weeks

WGS worked with Lowe, however, I fear NC would be several steps too far. I don't think they'd get on at all. Meh, doesn't matter. Back Adkins. -

Many will forgive Saggy if he came in and turned it around. I don't think he's a bad manager or person but I'd much rather we stick with Nigel. He deserves his chance, he delivered us here. -
Quality footballer. Believe it or not, good footballers can play in bad teams. I know, I know, it's hard to get your head around it, but it's true. If Henderson cost £20m, I would suggest £35m. But that snub-nosed busybody isn't worth that and neither is Morgan. Realistically, £12m. Henderson's real worth? -£4.5m

It's the system we play, not the defenders... FFS

I really, really f()cking hate Neil Allen. Possibly one of the biggest c()nts I've never had the misfortune of meeting.

Hello chums Just wondered if any of you have had the opportunity to do so? I'm assuming "Tokyos" (as Bearsy calls him) has, but has anyone else? What are your experiences of Japan? I'd be very interested to know! Thanks in advance

I don't think we should rule it completely out. Le Saux came to us from Chelsea and in his time, he was a top-class leftback (maybe he was on a slight downward trajectory though). He, admitidely, also fell for the undeniable charm of the South Coast. We're just an hour away from London, 45 minutes from Bournemouth and have a regional airport which services much of Europe. We also have some great waterfront and forest pubs, a huge regeneration programme taking place in the city, meaning more amenities for the likes of Ashley (and Cheryl, if she's up for it) to do. We've got the cruise terminal, West Quay and just a few miles north there's the idyllic Winchester - truly beautiful on a crisp winter's day. If he likes animals, he could easily scoot up to Marwell or better still, could even go pony riding in the New Forest with David Luiz. There really is quite a lot to do and see round here for a mature England international on £125,000pw... we definitely have enough comparable attractions to London so he might, might just be tempted. Can anyone else think of any more reasons than the one I have stated? I'm sure I've forgotten some!

And Oldham.
