Haha, yes, that rings true. The Matt Jarvis debacle proved that. Also, totally 100% agree with the Baggies comment. Spoke to loads of Baggies, they've always, consistently, been knowledgeable and grounded.

Pleas for behavioural reasons to United fans, then they go and taunt Utd about Munich. :-/

Oh yes, Derby. Like seeing them get beaten as well. Ar5eholes.

After the ridiculous comments from Villa fans and the some silly comments from last year, in your experience(s), what clubs have the most delusional/reactionary/arrogant fanbases? As far as I'm concerned, as a Saint, we've got a smattering of delusionals, FoB's, and suicidals but compared to some clubs, we're very fortunate to have the fanbase we have. In my experience, Brighton were perhaps the most prissy, getting all tetchy over the "guard-of-honour" and Adkins comments. Charlton fans were delusional and arrogant, so I always like to see them fail. Villa have to be some of the most delusional, along with our fishy chums to the east. As soon as there is trouble, as fanbases they're both quick to desert, too. Likewise Birmngham. Bompey have to be the most amusing in recent times, getting all worked up over a non-rivalry then suddenly going very, very quiet once they were put back in their places. West Ham were arrogant t0ssers. Conversely, what fanbases have decent followings and fans in your opinion? I've always quite liked Chelsea fans and there has been a few clubs in the lower leagues who have got level-headed, balanced fans.

... but QPR are dogsh1t too... but not dogsh1t enough to be relegated. Liverpool bottom half finish, Norwich, Villa and Reading to go down.
-
They're still shocking.

If they'd have beaten us and we still hadn't bothered applauding Petrov I'd have doubt it would get a mention. Sadly, they're clearly very bitter and they'll throw any accusation at us at the moment to make themselves feel better about their sh1t football team. Irrespective, get well soon Stillian.

Jesus Christ.

Yeah, I noticed this but I thought was also because we do, for want of a better term, bomb forward and when the move breaks down, we've got 5-6 players in front of the ball. They do get back well, but it's a bloody dangerous (and exciting!) game to play.

Yeah, good point. Like last season as well! Time to dig out the "whoops you've been accidentally, unfortunately, surprisingly beaten by little ol' Southampton" screensavers...

Which figure did you want -The official count, the Radio Solent count or the Pompey maths count?

This is another great Villa forum thread. Apart from one person, they're pretty much agreed that we're rubbish :-/ http://www.avfcforums.com/topic/13731-match-thread-southampton-4-1-aston-villa-ft/page__st__40

I'm sure Notts County were lucky and the battling, plucky heroes are swimming against the tide. I mean, how can they be "competitive" with only the 3rd, possibly 2nd highest wage bill in the division?
