  1. It's pretty much a given that everyone is related to everyone else in that city...
  2. Well, rumour has it that the between March 2009 - April 2010 that schizophrenia more than halved in Southampton, only to return to previously high levels a year or so later
  3. Why am I not surprised!!! Certainly goes to explain many, many incidents and encounters in my life...
  4. Haha, that's exactly it. I just don't get how anyone can all swing so wildly from one end of the optimism pendulum to the other in such a short space of time. I am a great believer in performance levels are a great indicator of how good a team is (Not a massive fan of the commonly-held "winning when playing bad" theory) however teams do have off-days and, in a 46 game league season, it's unlikely you'll go undefeated or pick up the odd disappointing result here and there. We'll be there or thereabouts at the end of the season, it's just strange watching any rationality of the situation disappear after one or two indifferent results/performances. We're still very much in the promotion race.
  5. I'm not too concerned about nervous Nige, I'm more concerned about our supporters and their uncontrollable mood swings. When we went 2nd, many almost combusted with excitement yet since we've slipped from 2nd to 5th (!) and with 2-3 games in hand on our rivals, all of a sudden a 0-0 seems to send people reaching for the knives in the kitchen drawer again.
  6. I hate to say it again but I seem to have to every month or so. It'll never happen, especially if it's SCC involved. A little excerpt from something I posted on Facebook in response to the Snow Dome... "Lmao@SCC, they are at it again. Expect more 'professional one bed/two bed flats', not entertainment venues. SCC's main priorities are to spunk taxpayers money on outlandish/fantasy ideas that capture peoples attention, only to withdraw the idea 6 months later. Can't wait for their next "revolutionary" idea! With reference to the Councillors: ‎Never has so few, thieved so much, for so little, from so many"
  7. NEXT PFC PAYDAY
  8. Nigel Adkins "Taking care of business" A new phrase?
  9. Lmao, I think you're right about Jim Branning... unless we've both had a time slip? And yes, Rofe was a superb stadium compère, I have to agree. I might be looking at those memories far too positively though...
  10. You pretty much summed it up there, far better than I did anyway.
  11. I'm not referring to any one person but there are people on here who revel in a good controversy. They may not necessarily invent stories but they most certainly nit pick and always look to find a way to discredit any regime the club have. I'm not saying you shouldn't question the way the club is run, but these particular people feel the incessant need to question everything... almost as if they think they could do a better job. And I don't think you need to know the person per-se. I'm sure there is plenty of evidence on here anyway...
  12. Btw - absolutely spot on. Prepare yourself for the tubthumpers to get upset about your post though!
  13. Bless them, they're getting excited about their cup final. Don't forget to bring your spare change, just in case their fans are outside rattling buckets again...
  14. And to think Plymouth might not be in existence next week for what could be considered a paltry amount owed... Good luck Plymouth, f()ck orf Skates..
  15. lmao, you never fail to amuse me rallyboy. Just watched the clip again, actually - it's astounding and can't believe it hasn't, to my knowledge, been posted before. It's almost perfect, despite the lack of horses in the footage.
  16. or robbing cancer charities...
  17. And this just sums them up... If you haven't seen it before, I implore you to watch it. Lmao... every Skate stereotype in one video clip.
  18. Adam Blackmore tore the Bompey fans a new one in a similar situation. I think he angrily responded to a few Bompey fans after trying to sensibly and tactfully point his put across and assure AFCB fans their was not favouritism on Solent's part. They didn't listen and continued texting in rubbish and I remember he pretty much laid into them - and rightfully so. AFCB have this weird paranoia about being "left out" on Solent. IMO, they should be. They're from Dorset.
  19. A little trip down memory lane for you all for Monday's fun. Today's featurette comes from GCSE Music hopeful Channelle from the People's Republic of Hayling Island: I've included the masterful lyrics for you all to peruse. I'm sure you'll all agree that their days of 'lauding' it over us are well and truly over, but it is nonetheless amusing looking back on this song and chuckling at their arrogance and stupidity whilst in a false position. See I will Always Love portsmouth fc we are the best.... number one for me we're pompey in blue and white on the coast we're number one we really hate the scum i'll never be a scummer 'cos I hate them all **** micky channon, mcmenemy too **** matt le tissier you're **** too **** you george burley and **** all the rest we are the pompey and we are the best **** all the southampton fans all around st mary's stadium is a **** ground **** all the scum in the striped red and white we are the best and southampton are ****e now i will always hate the southampton i hate them all the southampton scum the pompey we are the best we're the number one side we wear our shirt with pride you'll never be as good as the portsmouth **** micky channon, mcmenemy too **** matt le tissier you're **** too **** you george burley and **** all the rest we are the pompey and we are the best **** all the southampton fans all around st mary's stadium is a **** ground **** all the scum in the striped red and white we are the best and southampton are ****e oh, oh, oh we're portsmouth oh, oh, oh we're pompey oh, oh, oh we're portsmouth oh, oh, oh we're pompey
  20. It's because Bournemouth supporters whinge en masse whenever they're featured last on Solent... I can understand the Skates (Champ) but Bompey? **** off back to Dorset, t0ssers...
  21. FC Santos v Titchfield Social. Fecking massive!
  22. I loved the Pianist and felt ever so slightly guilty during the scene where the Polish Jews cheers and say "We're saved!" when the British Empire and France declare war on the Germans :-o
  23. Massive LOL at Chelsea's expensively assembled and massively disjointed youth team. PS: Remember when Saints weren't allowed to compete against PL youth teams after relegation? LOL@authorities
  24. Is Hannity really falling into a trap or is he actually imparting what he feels publicly? Either way, I'm kinda glad he has the freedom to speak his mind like that, as opposed to the lily-livered, watered down dialogue that you'd get over here. Amusing reference to dune though... lol
  25. Btw... he's smirking like a naughty little child because he hasn't the intelligence to debate rationally - not because he's "winding people up".
