There was taking care of business and the classic 'it's as simple as that' to round off the interview

Defo one of my favourite games. Absolutely tore them a new one and that was the catalyst on our march up to 4th... I know someone else on this board will remember but our performances actually went wobbly straight after a contention 2-2 v Boro away after leading 2-0. Still, we played some great stuff that year...

Nice find hypo, good read that. I'm glad Jewell's speaking out about it too, it's not on and they're a nasty, cheating, sh1tc()nt of a club that should have gone bust.

I only heard "IASAT" and "taking care of business" :-o

Totally agree... it was like his guard was down and it was a real, honest reaction

It's as simple as that!

One sour note was Solent once again mentioning "magnificent travelling support" It's 45 minutes away, ffs...

stumbled upon this quite interesting (and recent) documentary... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axOsY2IPh24 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vVWt8M1dwIE If you do watch it through, it'd be interesting to see the conflicting sides on her lock horns again for a discussion on Islam in the UK... FWIW, interesting programme, though it's worth remembering that it shouldn't be take as representative of the whole of the UK. It's reaffirmed a lot of my own observations, anyway.

Such a wonderful animal. Glad the dog's OK And in other news, this week I managed to identify what the hell my dog is; It's an Akita/Alsation cross...

Agreed. Though whenever I do see him, he reminds me of a real life kids figurine toy :-o

Thanks Bompey. You're not that bad after all.

Don't let Palace know we're releasing him
-
Yes again.

Thanks for repeating what I was about to say. The biggest bottler I've ever seen :-o

Good point - I should probably re-title the thread with the theme relief/sadness when a player leaves... but I can't Pahars

We've had a few shockers over the years but what players were you happy to see leave and never see again? I have to say I was delighted to see Jermaine Wright leave (though he was always an honest, hard working player, he was frustratingly rubbish but left with our best wishes). I was also delighted to see Nigel Quashie leave during 05/06 as he'd nominated himself the free kick/corner/penalty specialist of the side and it was getting rather irritating watching a player he now considered himself Pele after we dropped out of the PL. Once again, hardworking player and put in some great performances but a relief after we'd offloaded him in the mid-season cull after GB's arrival. One player I was absolutely delighted to see leave was Mikael Nilsson. Bottler and incredibly rubbish. Same goes for Delap... but it appears I got that call wrong, anyway! What players were you delighted to see leave? Players that left with your best wishes and ones that you were just happy to see the back of, finally...

Yes, but considering he made space for Rob Lee and Steve Stone as opposed to Matt Le Tissier is a bit... f()cking dumb (though if IIRC, he had a bit of a wobbly season under Merrington scoring only 10 goals). Same applies to Hoddle two years later, though Le Tissier, despite his immense showing in the 'B' game was still paying for England's loss against Italy with which he had little to be blamed for. That and leaking the squad, of course. Such a shame. He should never, ever have got only 8 caps.

Why don't they go the whole hog and invite Hamilton Thorp, Robbie Enes, John Aloisi and Andy Petterson back? Surely they could use the numbers...

Revisiting 06/07 - no, really, it wasn't all bad

Home game in the evening? Didn't Baird score in that game after scoring at Pride Park and hitting the post at home to WBA? Already carving himself out as a master set-piece specialist -
Most teams in the Conferences have 60-100,000 capacity stadiums :-o
