Mackail-Smith to Pompey? ROLFCOPTER!
-
I feel my sinuses aching and another rant on the horizon... careful, Brompey...
-
What would you rather have - 3 games in hand or 5 extra points?

Blimey, so nice to see a decent set of fans talk about us normally rather than the rabid bile we've been used to from BHA/Bompey fans over the past few weeks... -
Crab Lungs Cravings... (scouted and shortlisted over seasons of watching football!). Notice a lack of Brighton players... and that wasn't deliberate. emboldened = want! normal = satisfied and would possibly, maybe be interested in joining? italic = unlikely signing anyway (either overly-optimistic, wages too high or probably deemed not good enough for NPC) Goalkeepers Richard Lee, Brentford Boaz Myhill, WBA Tom Heaton, Cardiff Keiren W******d, Coventry Daryl Flahavan, Portsmouth Andy Lonergan, Preston Richard Wright, Sheff Utd Alex Smithies, Huddersfield Defenders Frank Simek, Carlisle Gabriel Zakuani, Peterborough Matt Kilgallon, Sunderland Jack Hobbs, Leicester Sean St.Ledger, Preston Matt Connolly, QPR Cliff Byrne, S****horpe Graeme Lee, Notts County Marcel Seip, Plymouth Craig Dawson, WBA Scott Cuthbert, Swindon Midfielders John Bostock, Tottenham Michael Tonge, Stoke Tom Soares, Stoke James Dunne, Exeter Lee Johnson, Bristol City Brian Stock, Doncaster Brian Howard, Reading Andrew Surman, Norwich John Eustace, Watford Marvin Elliott, Bristol City Owen Garvan, Crystal Palace Radowslaw Majewski, Nottm Forest Adam Barton, Preston Akos Buzsaky, QPR Johnnie Jackson, Charlton Jack Cork, Burnley John-Joe O'Toole, Colchester Charlie Lee, Peterborough Peter Leven, MK Dons Jonathan Douglas, Swindon David Prutton, Swindon Emanuel Ledesma, Walsall Jonathan Greening, Fulham Wingers Chris Brunt, WBA Graeme Dorrans, WBA Danny Rose, Tottenham Gary Roberts, Huddersfield Darren Ambrose, Crystal Palace Ross Wallace, Burnley Chris Eagles, Burnley Daniel de Ridder, Wigan George Boyd, Peterborough Ivan Sproule, Bristol City David Martin, Derby County Lee Martin, Ipswich Hameur Bouazza, Arles Lewis McGugan, Nottm Forest Keith Treacy, Preston Michail Antonio, Reading Mark Yeates, Sheff Utd Michael Kightly, Wolves Jeff Hughes, Bristol Rovers Matt Robson, Carlisle Jimmy Smith, Leyton Orient Daniel Powell, MK Dons Michael McIndoe, Coventry Simon Whaley, free Chris Taylor, Oldham Dale Jennings, Tranmere Marc Pugh, Bournemouth David Vaughan, Blackpool Strikers Jon Parkin, Cardiff Ishmael Miller, WBA Marlon Harewood, Blackpool Nicky Maynard, Bristol City David Somma, Leeds Steve Howard, Leicester Chris Brown, Preston Darius Henderson, Sheff Utd Alan Lee, Huddersfield Ben Burgess, Notts County Sam Baldock, MK Dons Rory Fallon, Plymouth Adam Le Fondre, Rotherham Matt Derbyshire, Birmingham Jason Roberts, Blackburn James Beattie, Rangers Simon Cox, WBA Loans Alberto Bueno Henri Lansbury Dean Parrett Steve Caulker Emmanuel Frimpong Jordon Mutch Keith Andrews Daniel Pachecho Raheem Stirling

... exactly the argument I'm having now.
-
As I said on FB... Amazing how our midfield is so much more cohesive, dovetailing perfectly and working better without Gerrard... not! Great to see Wilshere/Parker/Lampard as a 3 because they move the ball quicker, not faff around with it... Great workrate so far too.

4 boundaries in 27 overs... England 95-2 Bopara gone.... 95-3 Bring in Morgan.... PLEASE!

I would like to be managed by Dubai Phil, assuming I get 'selected' and of course, find the necessary money to play.

Saints sign 21 year old Dale Stephens on loan - official
Crab Lungs replied to Saint_clark's topic in The Saints
Yet they're even more untested than Dale Stephens? The only midfield signing I've seen recently of any merit was Michael Stewart to Charlton. Apart from that, perhaps Dale Stephens. Besides, many Championship sides sign players from L1 and L2 who have absolutely no problem in stepping up. Anyway, let's see what happens -

Bit of a premature response, don't you think? Thanks for the info, Latics Fan. -
Oh no, not that orange money sucking d1ck. I hope they've got good enough hotels there for that bronzed moron.

Their loss is most definitely Santos' gai... ... -
FC Santos are such great contributors to TSW

Has anyone seen the aforementioned programmes? My word, really, really puts things into perspective. I've more to say but I'm just finishing off one of the episodes...
-
I have to ask: Why on earth do players almost always say they come to the EPL for its renowned atmosphere? That said, I suppose not every club abroad is a Boca...
-
And Steve, don't auto correct my position to "left back", please...
-
Very, very tempting. Just need to find the money for WN first...
-
Now there's a word that should be used more often: "Snaffled".
-
Them and Bournemouth have both grown significant chips on their shoulders, God knows why.
-
McIndoe would be decent... VERY quick winger. Blows a bit hot 'n' cold, but more than capable...
-
Well, it'd be nice to see some movement. I don't know why, but I find myself on the PFA Players website looking at the free transfers! Only players that would 'bulk out' our squad and add maybe a little something are Kevin McLeod (left midfielder) and James Scowcroft (Rickie back up?) though. Darren Powell's there too, lol. :-o
-
That's what I keep hoping...!
-
Ok, threadbare was probably an overstatement until the facts are known about Lallana/Ox. However, a CM would do very nicely... a Graham Kavanagh type would do a half decent job in helping us over the line (as he's done with a few clubs before). Someone who's just been there before, unspectacular but solid with the experience, just in case anyone starts to wobble a bit..
-
I don't get it. There are players out there that our surely within our budget that we could attract... yet everything is silent, as always. We're pretty threadbare too so I do have to wonder if we actually do have the resources, even for a short-term loan. Is it resources? Is it that we can't find a player that would improve our squad and would be willing to play for us (which I don't believe for a second considering there are hundreds, probably thousands who'd love to and are good enough). Or is crazy Nige confident with what he's got?

This.
