And Steve, don't auto correct my position to "left back", please...
-
Very, very tempting. Just need to find the money for WN first...
-
Now there's a word that should be used more often: "Snaffled".
-
Them and Bournemouth have both grown significant chips on their shoulders, God knows why.
-
McIndoe would be decent... VERY quick winger. Blows a bit hot 'n' cold, but more than capable...
-
Well, it'd be nice to see some movement. I don't know why, but I find myself on the PFA Players website looking at the free transfers! Only players that would 'bulk out' our squad and add maybe a little something are Kevin McLeod (left midfielder) and James Scowcroft (Rickie back up?) though. Darren Powell's there too, lol. :-o
-
That's what I keep hoping...!
-
Ok, threadbare was probably an overstatement until the facts are known about Lallana/Ox. However, a CM would do very nicely... a Graham Kavanagh type would do a half decent job in helping us over the line (as he's done with a few clubs before). Someone who's just been there before, unspectacular but solid with the experience, just in case anyone starts to wobble a bit..
-
I don't get it. There are players out there that our surely within our budget that we could attract... yet everything is silent, as always. We're pretty threadbare too so I do have to wonder if we actually do have the resources, even for a short-term loan. Is it resources? Is it that we can't find a player that would improve our squad and would be willing to play for us (which I don't believe for a second considering there are hundreds, probably thousands who'd love to and are good enough). Or is crazy Nige confident with what he's got?

Football Supporters Federation - Safe standing petition
Crab Lungs replied to anothersaintinsouthsea's topic in The Saints
If it was introduced at St. Mary's in the not too distance future, where would it be? I'm assuming the Northam would be the most likely converted? Also, how would you gauge a safe capacity for standing? What would be the likely increase of SMS's capacity? Just wondered... someone might be interested in speculating my above questions!? -
Thanks for that little update on here, Gemmel. I've always maintained that RL wasn't a bad man - certainly not the heinous panto villain some of our mongy fans would have him perceived.

Surprise, surprise, arrogant BHA fans who, ironically, always accuse us of arrogance.

Tbf, I'm struggling to get anything done at the moment... too interested in watching "Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations"

Haven't decided - but if you could hook me up... I've only asked one high school Permian, in Odessa but they were none too keen on the idea because of the negative exposure they received from a book/movie made about their 1988 season. I had to understand that to be honest, as they are only looking after the kids interests. That's what I mean... it's fair to say, I'm enchanted by how little towns essentially revolve around a high school football team, it's crazy. I'd just like to experience it for myself, and of course, culturally, it seems a very, very interesting place as well. Fusing the two topics together could make an interesting read/insight. Then again, it could only be me that ends up reading it.

That's the joy of working remotely through the internet. I can change my backdrop every day, though I have to admit, I am spending most of my working day at home. Might have to venture into to town and spend a day fawning and posturing in Costa Coffee at some point though

I hope to go to Texas in September to write a book on a high school football team, leaving in December (assuming they make the State playoffs), return to the UK for Xmas and then off to Chiang Mai, Thailand early 2012 for my long anticipated hair transplant and period of reflection whilst I plot my next move. Funds pending, of course.

Dipped into affiliate/internet marketing after doing a number of (mainly) office jobs throughout my life. Going pretty well so far, though I won't be drawing a full time wage until around 6 months time from it. I'm pretty happy though as I have one of the shortest commutes to work in the world (10 seconds) and I'm doing something essentially enjoy. However, it wasn't easy learning and setting everything up though!
