Why, oh why, are you gladly gloating about writing off £100m of debt? I'd be bloody ashamed and embarrassed.

AA: "It's not possible [to pay the £2.5m in a single sum]. We've been running the club on a shoestring." Lmao, really?

PO owner PompeyScot's opinion: "Just got off the phone. OK, the situation isn't as bad as is being made out, and there are games being played here once again. Be aware that, with the situation as it is, I can't say a massive amount about what seems to have caused this but, suffice to say, the situation as put out by the club has some almighty caveats to it which aren't included. Gaydamak hasn't 'moved the goalposts' for no reason and, if what I have been informed is true, I don't blame him in the slightest. As for the statement, I understand it was released by David Lampitt, without the understanding of Andronikou (anybody watching Andronikou trying to wing this can see he had no idea about this statement). Again, if that is right, I'd question why the technical owner of the club has been bypassed here. Plus, the timing of the statement wasn't coincidental, Gaydamak's religion and, thus, his limit on reply is a factor here. I'm fecking angry at people constantly trying to play games with this club and us fans, it's about time it stopped." AND.. "I see Gazz has mentioned this in another post so, sod it. Fact is that, this afternoon, Chainrai was on the verge of becoming owner. However, they said to Gaydamak that they would challenge his right to be a secure creditor. Gaydamak said he'd see them in court then and, as a result, wanted his owed money back there and then (hence the amount up front which the club mention in their statement). Of course, Chainrai doesn't have the money to give him. So, there you go. Statement was released once Gaydamak was 'offline' so to speak."

A rumour going around is that it was actually AA/administrators who asked Gaydamak to to re-assess his terms ("moved the goalposts") and Gaydamak told them to poke it - and quite rightly so.

Portsmouth blaming everyone else again. Surprise, now it's Gaydamak's fault.
-
I think it's more to do with Bale being more a footballer than a sprinter, tbf. Walcott will do ok in his career, but Bale is another level...
-
Portsmouth fans already demanding their club make him an offer... :-/

Horrible club, horrible fans and should have gone out of business a long, long time ago. Reading those ungrateful little turds lay in to their ONLY concrete investment hope riles me, so much so as I do hope they finally get what they have long deserved - extinction. (and that wouldn't even matter to the creditors awaiting their money back as, let's face it, Portsmouth have no intention of paying them any money back anyway). Cheating, lying filth.

Corp's really hit a new all-time low with that post. With all due respect, why is it only the blue few who actually fail to admit that they've done wrong?
-
Without doubt. A prediction I made within the first few games I ever saw him.
-
Ahhh, the nineties... Dave Hughes cameos, Neil Heaney on the wing and the mercurial Cosimo Sarli in the reserves.
-
200 odd to Bolton at the height of their power. Regular 100-150 to Sunderland and Wigan last year... in fact, somewhere around there is some great pictures of their support (basically, a few thousand coloured seats with some mongs sitting inbetween the vast spaces)

How is Mr Mc75k plus expenses?

"This whole thing stinks and l think that there is a conspiracy between the PL and FL to drive us out of business UEFA and FIFA need to urgently step in and sort this nonsense out." Absolutely priceless... I mean, seriously, are this lot for real? You overspent AGAIN and did so knowingly. It is your own fault, not anyone elses. Prized bell-ends, they really are...

I think it's the effort to do that which is what The9 means. The effort to get into those positions and so forth, as opposed to standing around idle. Though to do that does take some tactical nous, for a start, you have to instruct the players to do those things (assuming you have the calibre of players available with the ability to do it, which we seemingly do have)
