  1. I like Ian Darke but it was sickening last night. Especially referring to how good their fans are; for a start, Stevenage Boro fans outsung them all night. For seconds, he didn't once mention their paltry away followings at Wigan, Sunderland etc .... Poor old Pompey, eh?

  3. Not a lot of sympathy here. and deservedly so: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=1155552&page=2 I remember I got panned for being so insensitive and daring enough to criticise them during a love-in... If they're not guilty of her death, they are most definitely guilty of child negligence.
  4. I must be looking at the wrong squad then as I thought we are desperately short 1 CB, 1 CM (possibly 2), 1 LW and an alternative to Rickie? :-s
  5. Brilliant... and the Skates continue to flick the V's...
  6. Anyone for pocketing some charity money? Stan taking the **** out of Dave Nugent's "image rights"
  7. Stan Collymore on now.... this is going to be interesting..
  8. Talksport ripping Pompey apart... Taxman NOT going to appeal the decision
  9. Going on what I heard yesterday, PFC are mudslinging and roping in everyone else as a factor to their "problems".... so if they go, everyone suffers. What a lovely little club.
  10. lmao @ US Baggage Handler
  11. No, allow me to doff my hat to you
  12. [Comment From pompeypops ] those 19 clubs will get torn apart if we do win you can bet your life he will change the rule then take them apart
  13. lmao, who is Andronikou's suntan!!!?
  14. Mark: When the hearing resumed Mr Sheldon told the judge: 'The players clearly have an interest in the Company Voluntary Agreement. 'If the CVA was approved the players would be paid for the continuation of their contracts. 'That has a real benefit to the players because they are continued to be paid at Premier League levels [via Premiership cash made as parachute payments] whereas if they are paid by CVA funds the players become free agents, their contracts are terminated and they become unsecured creditors of the company for the unexpired portion of their existing contracts. 'This means they would lose the benefits of their existing contracts,' he added. Earlier Mr Sheldon said Pompey received an £11m parachute payment from the Premier League between December 24, 2009, and January 31 this year. There was a further payment of £1.5m between February 1 and February 26 and another of £1.7m after the club went into administration. Dirty, cheating....
  15. [Comment From TCWTB. ] HMRC clearly don't have a case. Let's get this appeal thrown out so that we can use the parachute payments for a new stadium and a promotion push! PUP! That is superb, whoever that is
  16. Can't see anything from "Fishy Fingers Francesca" at the moment
  17. [Comment From BigBearPFC ] HMRC are on thin ground to win this, and this Judge will see sense and that they have been wasting his and everyone else's time and money. About time the HMRC got put in their place Unreal
  18. From my opinion, it's been a bit weird really. Unexpected openings by both defence and prosecution, HMRC throwing a lot of (justifiable) mud at Pompey, Pompey throwing a lot of unjustifiable mud at everyone else (and admitted the PL bailed them out last year...).... still inconclusive what will happen, as far as I can tell...
  19. Their fans shamelessness knows no bounds. On one hand, you've got those giving the v's and telling HMRC they should be thankful for 20p in the pound. Then on the other hand, you've got the whingers, bemoaning how hard done by they've been. Unreal.
  20. Lol at Laura Norder. Brilliant. Pompey fans absolute scum as usual... now quoting Churchill... :S
  21. To me it does, it was obvious to everyone yet this conveniently gets swept under the carpet. The fact that Portsmouth's defence is part-centered around that is very telling.. yet it all gets swept under the carpet. PFC seem to be pointing the finger at the disgusting entity that saved them in a "if we go down, you are coming with us" kind of mentality...
  22. I think it's a case of tarnishing all the clubs in the Premier League... "If we're going down, you're all coming with us" Ah, the famous, dignified Portsmouth defence...
  23. [Comment From GavsterBlue ] The judge has to see sense in all this, This is just a pathetic attempt to put us out of business, in my book, that amounts to BULLYING. Perhaps we ought to put in a counter claim for harrasment!!!
  24. Some of the comments actually beggar belief: [Comment From Steve H ] OK, lets put this in perspective. £34m is a lot of money but the total UK tax revenue for 2009/10 was £480bn so we are haggling here over 0.007% of the UK's annual tax revenue. Let's suppose that if HMRC win they could get future extra revenue from football clubs of a £100m. We are still only talking about an increase in annual revenue of 0.03%. You would think that HMRC have more important things to do!
  25. [Comment From pompeymega ] It disgusts me that over a century of history and years of dears and joy from thousands of fans, should be settled by a mere bang of a hammer. Play up Pompey!
