  1. Oh dear. Andy Pandy has finally run out of steam. So.....23 team league in the Champ?
  2. Yes, he's been confident of selling them every time the **** starts to hurtle towards a fan - and yet they still keep getting chance after chance. Pull the ****1ing plug, someone, please. Pig bloody sick at their incessant "poor us" mentality and the constant bleating and whining - or the unbelievable level of stupidity - or the "heads in sand" route taken by many. 13 man squad tonight? W4nkers, absolute w4nkers. We've have previously and continue to include youngsters in our squads to make up the numbers - not pretend we've not got any. Cheating, lying bastards. Die soon.
  3. Always thought he was OK (much better than the shiiiiite we've had in the past down here, even in the Champ) and to be fair, we could use the cover. He's not exactly Schneiderlin, but neither is he a Pulis/Wotton....
  4. I've got 50,000 VIP tickets for anyone interested... hopefully Peter Storrie, Steve Cotterill and the Android will do a bit of stand up before the fat lady gives one last hearty wail.....
  5. Yes, where is Corp? Strange that we used to see him so regularly during Pompey's "glory" years. I'd love a lowdown on that new stadium as well - 250,000 all seater, wasn't it?
  6. This certainly sounds a little like what AP was alluding to in one of his interviews the other day. He said the signings will come, but is waiting to see what happens; he emphasised that he didn't want to bring in a player only to discover 2 weeks later a better one came available. So maybe that is what we're waiting on and sensibly, we're playing the market quite cutely.
  7. Brilliant. Love it.
  8. Seriously though... what indication does a good or bad pre-season give anyone? In many respects, very little. Every summer, clubs go through excellent pre-seasons, subsequently following that form up with terrible league form. Conversely, some teams are dreadful in the build up to a campaign but hit the ground running come the first fixture. I take your point regarding playing well, I really do. I'm an advocate of "the better you play, the more chance you've of winning" (sounds quite obvious really though these days there is a growing popularity for the "win at all costs" mantra), believe me. However, I'm really not too concerned with majestic performances or humbling sides - I'm more interested in the energy/fitness levels and understanding building gradually, culminating and peaking in the first league game.
  9. LMFAO, ****ing hell, looks like the suicude squads are out in force again. Think we'll probably lose a few of you before the 7th August...
  10. ...and I'm still looking into! If hamster wants to drop me a PM I'll tell him what I know...
  11. Afar more comforting sound than... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZZ504TGDpE ...I really do hate the Stuka siren
  12. I recently said there is nothing more annoying than seeing a Saints fan in bewilderment when they finally see Bournemouth's retarded hostility/imaginary rivalry with us. It's still evident on this thread and it's also evident on second of those videos, with Saints fans openly congratulating them on promotion. Now, I wish I could share the same feelings and make my own congratulatory remarks for AFCB fans, but I cannot. Sadly, Bournemouth is like Portsmouth's tiresome little brother; constantly squeaking out "Scummer" comments hoping that their big brother in Blue, Pompey, will look over and give them a reassuring and commemorative pat on the head. Their obsession with us is also unnervingly weird. You're from Dorset, we're from Hampshire. We sliced you away from the county years ago..... now go away. Oh, and whilst you're at it, find your own radio station. Still, some of us remain oblivious to their warped and contorted hatred towards Saints. Yet we still "clapped" when they got promotion. Bizarre. They are not OUR little brother. They're Portsmouth's bastard sibling so let's treat them as such.
  13. If it were based on a conversation with what I perceived a very normal german, I think so. That said, I paid no heed to his comments
  14. Oh dear... both the first post and the riposte from the AFCB fan was nothing but embarassing.
  15. Hmmm, yes, I toyed with the idea of omitting him from my generalisation - maybe I should have but I think that gross outpacing he took in the Germany game is just burned to my mind!
  16. Brilliant, truly brilliant. Joe Cole is still in his prime, Crouchie's style of play will be useful beyond the age of 30 anyway and we're keeping useless 'tards such as Gerrard, Barry and Lampard. Nice one, Fabio.
  17. I can only think Lampitt is there to cover up a lot of criminal and illegal activity which would bring shame upon the Premier League. That's the only reason I can see why he is there. It's no coincidence.
  18. WTF! I don't recognise her...
  19. A good shout though I've heard he's being operated on and spliced with a gentleman called Lewis Apsey. Apparently, the combination of this strange hybrid will contribute to an almost identical Rickie Lambert clone. It's just a rumour though, mind.
  20. Absolutely bloody awesome! De Ridder is immense! I think Morgan will also be bumped from the "female fancies" top spot, too...
  21. I don't know. Lambert-alikes (although RL is by far more competent) are not as common as people think. Howard's one, Henderson is possibly another, Jon Parkin is one, as is Ben Burgess... I can't think of any other alternatives?
  22. I think we missed a trick with Ben Burgess (now Notts County) to be honest. Would have been an ideal stop-gap for Rickie
  23. Asia. Go, Asia!
  24. Basically, what you've just said - you've saved me writing it out myself. Unbelievable arrogance and... stupidity. "Four awesome goal threats" LMAO Ummm..... Morrison, Heffernan, Mellor and Tudgay? Hardly in the prolific category of Lambert, Lallana, Barnard and Connolly! FWIW, just looked at their team... yes, it looks as if it's quite strong - no guarantee for success though, especially in these murky dpeths....
  25. Oh dear... they really are in for a shock. Yes, we suffered a very similar fate. We thought in the Champ (at times) and L1 would be easy. It wasn't. Try telling that to Leeds and Forest, too. We'll see. I think we'll finish abbove them, personally..
