LOL, thats quality! There is a few stories like that on the net... as I said, there is defo a list somewhere out there which lists domains that are about to drop off but I'm still trawling to find it. From what I gather, some people have had a bit of success with it though some have encountered conflicts with the original domain owners, the domain selllers and themselves, partly because the original domain owners and the domain purchaser almost simultaneously purchase/renew it...

Yes, competition is pretty tight now but after the rather painstaking process of typing and retyping possible 'trend' domains into GoDaddy (there is a facility to search up to 500 domains at a time on there) I've come back with some pretty promising results. I've got 17 listed so far, I've bought one already and I'm just having going through a few more to take me up to 25. I'm then going to list them on sedo.co.uk or snapnames and see what they fetch. Might even park them, assuming I've read correctly that will enable the domain itself when parked offers services related to that domain name (for example, chocolatebottoms.com would link you to sites featuring chocolate and err, bottoms) and it is a small way of getting your investment back in pennies by people clicking them whilst you are auctioning the site. Anyway, I'm pretty new to this so I'm learning so don't take my word for it just yet! There is an interesting little possibility also with .mx names (mexico), and there are still plenty of domains going for what is predicted (on some forums) as a domain reg that is growing in popularity. Anyway, I've given all my secrets away now so happy domain purchasing

Well, I've just registered one in relation to my forthcoming iPhone application, got the domain valued it came up at around £5000 :-o Not that I'm going to sell it because I need it but I was still a little :-o Irrespective, been mashing domains together this afternoon and I'm ready to buy around 25 further domains with similar potential... Just wondered whether anyone else had any experiences or successes themselves? Some of the domains on sedo.co.uk are nothing special, but are going for fair old whacks...

That is exactly it... as soon as the landing craft is readied and ship opens it bowels and the music starts... damn, goosebumps. I was pretty 'meh' about TP but that 20 minutes alone has surpassed anything else I've ever seen of the same genre. Incredible. I'm off to watch it again after Saints

Cheers for that St Landrew though I have to say that whilst this was the first time I've viewed the show, I found it atrocious. Even moreso because a club with no links to the football league or the show whatsoever other than they are being relegated to it was talked about more than almost all of the other regional clubs.. ...but hey, what great fans they have, eh?

Well, having given some thought as to the language in schools idea, I definitely think it would be a really, really good move for children to be taught a second language in junior/primary as opposed to secondary school. Like benji says, I personally feel that at that I'd age I'd definitely be more enthusiastic about learning it but more importantly, and I refer to VFTT and ABTF's earlier posts here, that at that younger age, children do tend to absorb and learn much quicker. Secondary school had too many distractions for me, if I'm honest

Well that is heartening to know. Tbh, I wish they taught foreign languages in primary school, not junior - I might have even picked up another language myself! Like you say, kids at that age do tend to soak things up far, far quicker..

Which is a bit premature considering he was knocking around infront of one man and a dog in the non-league and then latterly Reading reserves. I like Antonio and I genuinely think he has immense potential. He also has an excellent attitude on the pitch however I'd like to think he might at least consider signing for us if the offer is right for both parties...

That really isn't a very good situation. I'd like to think that eventually each one of those kids can speak the native tongue through the schooling, but I keep getting the nagging feeling that the children are taught in their ethnic languages by bilingual teachers... ... I don't know... maybe someone can enlighten me here?
