He covers the most ground in the division, makes the most interceptions, scores goals despite essentially playing a holding role and has a very decent pass completion rate considering that the direction he plays the ball is generally positive. Very, very impressive season so far.
-
Perhaps, but I still think Frazer's decent cover - especially if we end up short in central defence and need Yoshida there. By all means get rid if there's a viable replacement, but not before we source one! But yes, it's clear there's substantial improvement we can (and ought to) make to the overall quality of the squad if we want to step up. Twaddle. Why hasn't Seaborne been utilised at LB then? How did Fox keep Harding out of the starting XI for most of last season?
-
From that list I'd rather we keep Mayuka, Richardson, Guly, Fox and possibly Sharp until adequate replacements are acquired (even if only to act as squad players).

Hear, hear. It may be a slightly dubious honour but well done Adam all the same. It would be interesting to see how much more of an impact Lallana could have if we were able to wrap him in cotton wool for a season.

Saints charged by FA for failing to control players vs Norwich

Spotted that, is it Becchio? -
One quick word of advice - you may struggle to gain buyer confidence with a Weebly/Freewebs style website and Hotmail address. A .co.uk domain and related email address shouldn't cost more than about £15 for 2 years from the likes of 123-reg.co.uk and make a big difference if you're serious about giving the business a go. Adding a business address to the footer is equally helpful. Also I notice that customer testimonials are a bit hidden away in the blog section. That stuff's really useful and ought to be featured on every page, or at very least given a spot on the homepage. Hope you don't mind me sticking my nose in - I'm a web designer and it's my job to get clients' sites converting traffic into sales. Good luck!

It's pretty bizarre that many on here currently only see his negative attributes and are blind to what he brings to the team. Mind you, I've never really found Saints Web to represent anything other than the extremes of attitudes within our fanbase... Using Gaston's fee as a millstone to place around his neck isn't really beneficial to any of the parties involved and I don't believe that two-thirds of an injury-blighted season is enough to attain the full picture. Get behind the lad and give him a proper chance to prove his worth. On topic, the chant we use is hardly original, but it does build and sustain nicely around the ground.
-
Bit of an insensitive thread, the poor lad's clearly got worms.

My maternal grandfather has some distant American relatives - they came to visit a few years back and by all accounts loved just about everything in Winchester. It's certainly a historic city.

That's the main time when fans can have an influence and pick a team up, surely? This season the Northam has been the quietest and dullest I've ever known it to be. Sang as much as I could but was literally a lone voice for much of the game. Could hear a bit of noise up at the bac of the stand and some more vocal support from the Kingsland North but overall we bottled it.
-
Saw a few lads quite clearly dressed in pope attire as I was walking to the match, probably at about 2.45pm on Northam Road. Presumably they were a different group or the OP has got this very wrong somehow.
-
Quite right. Oh no, hang on - that's not quite fickle enough. Ignore the way we've been playing recently and make some snap decisions, that'll not only improve your post but your overall 'football fan' knowledge.
-
Well, why not? If we win on Saturday it'll go some way to exorcising an era that we'd all rather forget and that's worth celebrating in my book. When he was sacked from Spurs I was gutted that we weren't going to get a visit from 'ol saggy chops; glad that we've got a fresh chance to give him hell.

That's Monday mornings for you, d'oh! Fixed now:

That's class! Hope you don't mind but I created a managerial cheat sheet to match:
-
"Thank you for dragging us up from the abyss - hope those legs have got a few more years in them!"
-
Exactly. Daft free kick in the first place and then Cissé was clearly offside. Now we're going to have to put up with every man and his dog fapping over it for the next few weeks...

Thereabouts. "Some media sources claimed that the transfer fee paid by Southampton for Paulo Gazzaniga in 2012 was higher than that paid for Robert Taylor, but the fee was not officially disclosed by either club." Gillingham received £1.5m for Taylor from Manchester City. Transfermarkt reports it as £2.77m.

Probably makes Forecast one of our most expensive signings.
-
We'll just have to make it the worst birthday of Redknapp's lifetime then and one of Pochettino's best.
-
Really? What was he supposed to say - "I stick to my prediction and still don't think Lambert's going to reach 5 goals this season"?! The guy's an embarrassment.
-
I imagine the interview will be repeated on Sky Sports News but the rest was just part of Soccer Saturday. Was a decent little chat with MP though. He really does have something about him. In his (translated) words, Nicola Cortese is "only human" - who knew?!
-
Been half-expecting for this sort of story to break. He's reportedly been unhappy for a while - hearsay suggests he was promised a rather more... well, shall we say 'involved' role. Whether he's purely been held back by injury or is simply not up to it seems difficult to call. People say he didn't impress but his minutes on the field for our first team can't total much. Shame in a way if true but on the other hand we must be approaching a tidy-up of personnel?

Just seen that adult ticket prices for Reading's own fans are £40-42 for this match - by the time you've added on a booking fee and cost to drive up from Southampton that makes it equally as expensive as buying a ticket for Newcastle AND travel with Saints Away. Not best impressed.
