Gah, I'm sure it won't happen but if 2 adult tickets filter their way down I would gladly buy them. Apparently being a season ticket holder isn't enough these days - would've been at Man City if I could. Gutted to be missing both of our first 2 away games.

Really? My matchdays have been decent so far this season (results notwithstanding). No queues at the turnstiles and able to get a pint with minimum fuss and without missing a moment of the first half. Mind you I stand in the Northam, so if you're from another section of the ground I appreciate there may not have been much in the way of half-time queues in recent years.

Wahey! Massive congrats to the lad. I reckon he's been ready for this for a good year or so - funny where playing in the Premier League will get you...
-
Baffled by the use of the word 'cheap'. Whether it's to individual tastes or not the quality is pretty top notch. My opinion's not changed - last season's kit was a 9/10, the new one's a 7/10.
-
Barely anybody is voting, this would be pathetically easy to rig.

Rarely have truer words been spoken but the two aren't mutually exclusive, as Morgan has proved so far this season. Class player - chuffed that he's reaping the rewards of sticking with us through the bleak times.
-
Just glad that they're getting properly tested on a regular basis now - can only be a good thing for their development and the long term future of the club.

Fully agree. Even with losing today I wouldn't trade that feeling of twice going in front for the world. Having experienced everything that built up to that point just made it all the sweeter.

Also, bit of a thread hijack, but if anybody knows the cretin that drives a baby blue people carrier with the 'P66 SFC' numberplate who gave abuse to my gf and sent her home in tears... He tried to push into her lane on the roundabout near the Jury's Inn and literally drove into her car to force her out, THEN gave her an earful of verbal as if she was in the wrong. Would very much like a word.

That may not have been another famous win, but my word will it stick in the memory! Gutted for anybody that wasn't there today as for the most part the atmosphere was top notch. Had my head held very high on the walk home. Sure, individual mistakes eventually cost us but as a team we dug in well and played some lovely stuff. As much as I loved the players involved in our lineup last year, the way we've changed and added to the squad has given it the makings of a competent top tier team. For all the talk of United's mega away following we had them silent for most of the second half and it was only RVP's third that made them pipe up again. Let's face it, most realists fully expected that we'd struggle to pick up any points from the first 4 games. What I find heartening is the manner of defeat. OK, so that doesn't yield any points, but we've given both of Manchester's finest a decent scare and won't be playing teams of that calibre all season. We're playing with confidence and don't look over-awed. There was always going to be a harsh learning curve but I genuinely believe that we are beginning to adapt. We need to be more clinical when on the upper hand but that will come. Plenty of positives for Nigel to take forward and I hope that he's able to get those across to his players. As a final note, a massive "**** you" to all those that left at 2-2. Stay and support your team - or why were you there?
-
The timing's right and I think it would be a decent decision for Dean and his career, but I'll be genuinely sad when he does leave. Sort of an end of an era, if that makes sense.
-
Not even sure that's the be-all. Wigan recovered well last season so it can certainly still be done. Plus we could definitely have been given a worse set of fixtures through April and May.
-
Out of interest does anybody know the Wigan attendance?
-
Oh well, at least I don't need an extra customer number now - had to go to a meeting at 9.05am and completely missed out. Annoying as I was near the front of the online 'queue'
-
Would like to echo that request - or it looks like I'll be going on my tod! PM or Twitter me if you can help, obviously you'll get the loyalty points.

Oh marvelous, renewed in the Northam for this year. Sadly couldn't make it yesterday so I was interested to see what you lot would say in this thread. Used to question the wisdom that suggested we had a better atmosphere with smaller crowds but over time you start to see that it's often true.
-
Yeah sorry, should have clarified what I meant by saying 'most' will be there by that time - also thought it was more than an initial ten or so. I used to pick up tickets on matchday mornings and it would normally coincide with a number of the squad arriving.
-
Nah, it's earlier than that. I believe they start filtering in at about 11am and most will already be in the building by 11.30am. It's the door to the left of the Megastore in case you didn't know.

Can't be a great holiday if you're on here.
-
Oh, can't edit my last post but just looked at the booking details and ST holders get a priority window before general sale. Sweet.
-
You can access the site, you'll just be put into a queue. Good idea really - unless you're desperate to find out your details now you wouldn't bother so it frees up bandwidth for those trying to buy tickets. It does feel a little odd that as a season ticket holder I currently can't buy a ticket purely because I wasn't able to make it to the Citeh game. Guess I'll be missing Arsenal too as I can't see this going on general sale.

Lack of "real"information re transfers from club!
ant replied to modern matron's topic in The Saints
Arguably the fact that the club have made no comment makes it even more ludicrous that we end up with 60-plus page threads on potential signings. Talk about feeding off scraps. Why would they comment when no deal has been signed or negotiations are ongoing? It could compromise the whole setup. If a portion of the fanbase become disillusioned by deals not coming off (and let's face it - we rarely get to know how likely any given target was to signing), it's almost entirely their own fault for whipping themselves into a frenzy over hearsay. Anyway, perhaps if people stopped hounding players, club officials, agents and journos for every morsel of info these things would go more smoothly. -
This thread has become a parody of a parody. Too weird!

Miltonroader07 has posted nothing but ****e since joining the forum, shouldn't be too much of a surprise. Immensely proud of the lads today.
