Just been looking at the full table on the BBC website and Brighton have let in 27 goals this season so far in the league with 13 being conceded away from home. With Norwich up next this needs to be a home win and, as it's live on Sky, a nice big one! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_div_2/table/default.stm

The Sun now claims it's John Gregory for the job! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/2716736/More-of-todays-football-stories.html

Think it more depends on whether PNE, Reading, Chelsea etc. would accept the possibility of their players being cup-tied for future rounds when/if they return to their parent clubs in the new year or before.

Trotman picked up a yellow card today and assuming the stats on the OS are up to date then he's only one card away from a ban. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/Suspensions/0,,10280,00.html

Sorry if this has been posted already but I've no time to scroll through http://www.mkdonsforum.org/bucksfizz/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=342%3Asouthampton-post-match-translation&catid=43%3Abucks-fizz-news&Itemid=90 made me smile anyway and pleased we've improved sooooo much

Possibly only a ploy to get MK Dons guessing what our line up will be? Hopefully he'll play as an unchanged side would be great going into this tough test.
-
I hope you got it wrong but isn't Murty out with a leg injury? Might explain why he sat down.

Calm down everyone. According to the BBC we've sent Steve Gillett. Simon must still be hanging about at St.Mary's. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/8284553.stm

Have you ordered tickets on-line before? If so I'm fairly certain you just use your old logon/membership number and you're away.

3-0 win to Saints.

I think we need to play Papa from the start. maybe pair him with saga and let Lambert have a free role? Not sure if our midfield is strong enough to cope with this though.

Lallana did not take any of the corners. Mills took them from the left and they were very effective. Lloyd James took from them from the other side and most of them were unable to beat the first man. Holmes took a couple when he came on. Carlisle loaded the box and annoyingly we dropped more than a couple straight into Pidgleys hands. I believe it was Trotman whose header was cleared off the line (it was at the far end). Can't answer you as to why we're not scoring every time from them (does anyone?) but if we can stop copying teams which hoof the ball and play it on the flat green stuff then I think we'll really start to win games. Someone is going to get a real hiding soon. Just hope it's sooner rather than later!

Started taking my lad when he was about 7 or 8 years old. Most of the time it was away games due to being located up north. This meant that for bits of the game he couldn't see anything especially in the build up to a goal as everyone stood up. Most of the time at that age he just watched the crowd and what was going on (the inflatable Spiderman in Saints kit away at Blackburn amused him for ages) and what was being said. The language can be a bit strong at times though. My lad kept pointing out people saying "That man said the S word" and "That man said the F word" and after some poor defending "That man said the F and the S word". Good times. Now he's almost 16 & a Saints fan thru and thru and wants to go to Southampton Uni. Mind you I think that's because I said I'd stump up for a season ticket for him if he did!

So out of our squad we've got thee following who have been captains of our team/other teams - Davis Perry Jaidi Murty Hammond Thomas (think he was captain at Burnley but not 100% sure) Not a bad lot to choose one from? My guess is Hammond and not Thomas as he's the one the captain will be keeping in check!

it's next Saturday by the way. Can't wait until this game now as me and the lad are going as it's relatively local to me. COYR

C'mon Saints one more goal will give us a zero goal difference!
-
Might be getting him mixed up with someone else but i thought he was about the same build and height as 'King' David Healy?
-
Looks like they'll be getting £4.5m for St.Ledger from 'Boro in January (source BBC) so they'll be unlikely to be hauling Trotman back to fill that void. More likely they'll be buying a replacement.
-
That describes Tony Pulis Snr 100% IMHO

Worryingly Forecast seems to let in four an awful lot. Hopefully we'll bag another two. I wonder how Jaidi is getting on?
