How much would you like to bet?
-
I think you will find that is an opinion, not a fact.
-
That's because it's our club. I will twist facts however I can to support my club, but to twist facts in order to criticise it is just wierd.
-
Very enlightening. Would be interesting to hear from at least 1 other atendee though.
-
Nigel Pearson too IIRC

So hang on, you're saying it's ok for you to believe what the Chairman of S****horpe has said to the media, but it's not ok for somebody to believe what their own club have stated. Personally, I think it's ridiculous that you are actually buying the whinging bleatings of the S****horpe chairman. Quite frankly he sounds like he has no idea what is happening. It seems to me that he's trying to use the media to manipulate the situation in his clubs favour, but we aren't having any of it. Fine by me.
-
Not really, it happens all the time. Goes to tribunal that way.

SSN reporting that S****horpe say the offer to Adkins is withdrawn
Barry the Badger replied to Topcat's topic in The Saints
Surely if that was the case he would just say he didn't want to leave, rather than try to make it look as though he wanted to come but compensation couldn't be agreed. -

I am hoping this is all just a hard bargaining process being played out in public. -
Echo says Adkins on brink of Saints job 2.30pm
Barry the Badger replied to Topcat's topic in The Saints
You what? So a manager who has TWICE done exactly what we are trying to do here, does not have a good enough CV for what we are trying to do here. Hmmm. -
Tim, how did you end up with an American, given that most of them live in America? Do you live in America?
-
I would be quite happy with Adkins, although tinged with dissapointment that it's not a bigger name, ultimately I think he would be perfect for us.
-
I don't think anybody is really criticising him or having a pop. It's fair enough to point out that he doesn't look his usual self, he's clearly not fully fit and that is not his fault, doesn't mean we cant discuss it or be worried by it though. The reason people are picking up on it is because he's usually so f*cking awesome.

Regardless of how the counter attack started. It was still only 3 on 3 and we should be able to cope with that, in fact we looked like we were until Fonte decided he didn't trust Martin with the man on the ball and came rushing over. I've played with defenders who don't listen and take it upon themselves to try and defend everything single handedly, it's admirable in a way, but a complete nightmare to play with. I think Fonte was awesome last season, love the guy, but I've noticed this twice this season. The other time was Plymouths goal when Butterfield was up against a one of their players for a header at the back post. Rather than keep himself free in the centre, Fonte decided to go across and try and win the header himself, which led to us being stretched and eventually the goal (although he certainly wasn't the only one at fault). He's still our best defender but I do think he needs to trust his fellow players a bit more.
-
The first goal was entirely Fonte's fault, for not trusting Martin. They had a man each and you could see Martin pointing, telling Fonte to stick with his man and leave the man on the ball to him. Instead Fonte came rushing over, leaving his man in space, the rest is obvious. Hopefully they just need to play together more.

Not neccesarily winning IMO, but if the team are working hard, getting stuck in, and making chances, the fans will respond. If the team are looking lost, backing out of tackles, and nothing is happening, they will generally get nothing back. Occasionally the fans will try and lift a poor performance (often with a very long ongoing OWTS) but in my experience if the team are playing crap no amount of singing will improve them. That said, it wont stop me trying :-)
-
About as clever as you ignoring the fact I said I WONT be chanting for Pardew. At the end of the day, I don't agree with it, but if some fans feel they want to chant for him then fair enough really, they can sing what they like. Edit - Actually, I agree with your general point in the first post, the whole ground needs to get behind the lads today. I just find your snobbery towards other fans unbearable.
-
I suggest we all put a bit of extra effort into the Pompey songs today just to p*ss off Richmond ;-)
-
Tell you what, as an experiment ask the club to ban everybody who likes to go to the Northam, the place would be like a f*cking morgue. PS I won't be singing One Alan Pardew FWIW

That's the other thing people don't take into account when looking at managers though... These are intelligent people, it's quite possible that Mowbray could have learned from his past mistakes. I know when I go into a new job I make bloody sure I don't just repeat any mistakes I made in the last one.
-
He lost his way with Hull towards the end, but ultimately he got them into the Premiership, which was a damn fine acheivement. Seems a bit of a self publicist, and a bit slimy, but I wouldn't care if we were winning.

The official Sebastian Vettel is a C*NT thread.
Barry the Badger replied to Saint_Jonny's topic in Motoring Forum
For me, Vettel wins that league hands down for somehow getting the team to back him after he drove into Webber in Turkey (I think). -
Didn't he try to claim it was just the angle of the photo? The fat f*ck.
-
mwa hahahahahaha. Wish the interviewer had some balls though. Instead of "no Harry I didn't mean it like that" should've been "sorry did I say wheeler dealer, I meant to say c*nt"
